Eyebrows are being raised as financial disclosure forms show that the National Draft Ben Carson For President Committee is spending most of its contributions on raising money.
The PAC which is not affiliated with Carson himself has raised more than $12 million since July 2013. The group says it is working to convince Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, to run for president in 2016.

Dr Carson is not ready for Prime Time.
Just not ready for prime time.
He says too many well meaning things that need to be walked back.
I still want him to run for mayor of Detroit. He’s a hometown hero who could be a good addition on the inside to help the GOP.
Good guy, but please dodge this bullet.
Often though 'running' for President is a fake, when the goal is actually the VP slot.
I would like for Carson to be part of the discussion, but you are right, Presidential material he is not (at this time).
Maybe to head up the HHS,but not POTUS.
A lot of non-profits spend most of their budget raising money.
If you have to “walk back” statements that you should have known better than to make, it just shows poor skills to me. Or you hired a bunch of incompetent advisors. :>}
Roger that. It costs a lot to raise a lot. Or something.
A guy I wish would run for local office in Detroit. (Rick Ector)

We’re no longer able to think about things that require more than one minute.
People didn’t use to have the “walk back” problem because they walked forward. Necessary context was furnished later in their presentations. Now, the audience loses interest.
I doubt whether George Washington himself would make them happy.
Anti gun Carson needs a job out of the way. Surgeon general perhaps
I wish people would think for more than one minute about an issue before jumping to conclusions.
Hmmm. Would he be more or less anti-gun/undecided about guns than the current surgeon private vivek muthay or whatever his name is.
Eyebrows raised? A $9 million investment to raise $12 million is not all that bad from a business perspective. If I could do that with a business, I’d be sitting pretty. It’s getting the first $9 million that’s the difficult part.
Whatever his personal misgivings, he would be stellar compared to whoever is in there now. He might not be thinking the way you like but he is thinking independently which is supposed to be a conservative virtue. It’s liberals who love and insist on lockstep thinking.
There are “interests” promoting Ben Carson for President SOLELY to help split the conservative vote by draining off “low information” conservatives from viable constitutional conservative candidates such as TED CRUZ.
He’s growing his money... I’d say this fellow understands capitalism well.
And some will hold a mirror up to you and say “Statement.”
This is the same absurd Kabuki dance that served up the flavorless John McCain and Mitt Romney as candidates. At least Barack had some zing, he was not dull.
“And some will hold a mirror up to you and say Statement....”

I guess I’m slow on the uptake this morning...what does that even mean?
