George Zimmerman denies throwing a wine bottle at his ex-girlfriend in his latest run-in with authorities since being acquitted of murdering an unarmed black teen in 2013.
Zimmerman says in a police report released Monday that in the confrontation with his ex-girlfriend, he didn't throw a bottle at her nor destroy her cellphone as she claimed. Instead, he says, he was only trying to prevent her from entering his home....

Really? Other reports say the police learned of this from the ex-girlfriend several days later during a "routine traffic stop". This whole incident is beginning to NOT pass the smell test.
What are the odds that the police just happened to be in the neighborhood of Z's home when this happened?
What are the odds that someone broke INTO a house and that leaves window glass on the driveway OUTSIDE ?

George Zimmerman’s girlfriend, pulled over yesterday by police for a routine traffic stop, volunteered to them that he had thrown a wine bottle at her the prior Monday while she was visiting Zimmerman’s Lake Mary residence. Nobody called the police at that time, nor at any time prior to the girlfriend being pulled over by police last night.
Officers stopped by Zimmerman’s residence within hours of the girlfriend’s report, arresting him on charges of aggravated assault. He was promptly arraigned, and represented at his arraignment by Attorney Don West. It was West, along with Mark O’Mara, who represented Zimmerman at his murder trial for the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman was, of course, acquitted of all charges in that trial.
At arraignment Zimmerman was granted bail at $5,000, with the conditions that he not contact the girlfriend and turn over all his firearms. The State had also requested that the Court order Zimmerman to wear a GPS device. West objected to the GPS in part on the grounds that “Mr. Zimmerman has a well-established history of appearing as requested in court,” and the Court elected to do without the device.
This does not, frankly, strike me as the most robust aggravated assault case to come floating out of Florida. It’s worth remembering that Zimmerman has a history of girlfriends bringing criminal charges against him only to have those charges disappear into the wind.
I suppose, of course, that we need to wait until we see or hear the actual evidence.
Zimmerman’s next court date is February 17. We will, of course, keep an eye on things as they develop.

That very well may be. But George - going along for the ride - is certainly doing HIS part.
Lay off Goerge Zimmerman, people. The poor man just wants to stay out of the spotlight and live a peaceful life.
No doubt, but I wonder how many people could have suffered what he has, and come out even half way normal.
Aside from the traffic tickets, which one of the incidents have resulted in charges?
If “girlfried” did not file a report at the time of the incident it should be a non-issue.
I wonder what the routine traffic stop was about? If he threw a wine bottle at her car and broke out a tail light she might have a case, but again she should have reported this soon after it happened.
Poor bastard should change his name to John Smith, and move to Idaho.

It looks like there is nothing here and, in fact, it may be another crazy woman story. I’m basing this solely on the facts presented in the story, which are scant.
My entire comment was sarcasm....apparently pretty good sarcasm cuz it took you in.
Of course he is going to deny it. His lawyer insisted on it. He might be a fool, but he isn’t a damn fool.
The guy throws a bottle that didnt hit anyone and 4 days later the cops show up to arrest him? This is BS.
Miami media is soooo happy about this....the same Miami media that refused to report Trayvon Martin’s repeated problems and the Twitter account he kept.
The man is clearly getting no respect as a “white Hispanic”.
He should go full ethnic and become Jorge Cuartohombre.
Zimmerman will be on the wrong end of this crap for many years until someone, a cop or a thug, kills him.
