Actually, I agree with the author.
As the Republican party scrambles quickly to the far left, the party's chances in California come up rapidly.

You could run the most RINO of the RINO’s and He/She still would not
win.
The only motive I can see is people involved who make money off campaigns, such as Media, Consultants etc are floating this nonsense.
Pure fantasy.

Sure a GOPer can win that seat... if “The Big One” takes out SF and LA counties first.
Otherwise... no friggin’ way. Tom Steyer, Antonio Villaraigosa, Kamala Harris or Gavin Newsome will filling it after Boxer leaves.

The Democrats thought they would get a seat in Georgia in 2014. No guarantees.

I think the Republicans will be lucky just to get a candidate listed for the Nov election.
With the new Prop 14 “jungle primary” rules, it could well be 2 Dems on the ballot.

We will win if we exhume Ronald Reagan.

That is true. They have that rule now. We may not even have a candidate in this race. I completely forgot about that rule. I think Republicans passed the law too....kinda weird law.

We will win if we exhume Ronald Reagan. The demographics of California have changed somewhat since Reagan's day...
