Ideological splits among Republicans have been part of the fun of the American political fair for more than 50 years now, but what of potential divisions on the Left?
When Barack Obama departs the White House in 2016, the question already being asked is whether Democrats will now suffer the same kind of upheaval that the Tea Party inflicted on Republicans after George W. Bush left office in 2008.
Last week in Washington DC it was possible to hear the opening shots of what some left-wing Democrats hope will become a similarly fierce fight for the ideological soul of their own party.
They were fired by Elizabeth Warren, a banker-bashing Massachusetts senator who has been a darling the American Left ever since the financial crisis when she championed the rights of let-down consumers over the bailed-out bankers.
A 65-year-old former Harvard Law professor from working class roots, Mrs Warren achieved sudden prominence in 2011 after a speech about how wealthy Americans owed much of their success to the state went viral online.....

When Obama was first elected remember the dozens of middle class fake speeches he gave
there is no way warren is pro middle class.
I heard that besides being an American-hating commie, Warren is also a “native American”, white woman of color with high cheekbones.
But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao,
You ain’t going to make it with anyone anyhow.
By the time the journ-0-lists are done in 2016, she’ll be a kindly grandmother fighting for the middle class against Wall $treet and Big Banks.
Lock in the millenials with student loan forgiveness, add the entitlement army votes with a minority VP, and you have a very formidable candidate.
I’ve heard enough talk about who wants to help the middle class.
How about...
Uphold and encourage faithful marriage, where your child is more likely to get a decent education. The sad part is that despite Obama living that way, he’s too PC to say or encourage it.
Or when he was re-elected... Only problem is, his promises were really full of crap, hyperbole, and rediculous attempts at bypassing an admission that the decline of the American family is in large part responsible for much of the poverty and unruliness we have going around.
Karl Marx HATED the middle class.
He wanted their blood FLOWING in the streets.
He didn’t have a a single idea geared to helping the middle class.
Now I’m listening to the great Marxist acolyte Lizzy Warren lecture me about how her Socialist plans are going to help the middle class.
And her greatest support comes from idiot middle classers.
No wonder our nation is going down the crapper....
I noticed the fake indian’s commie salute.
If there is going to be a revolution, it is not going to be what Fake Indian expects. She wants as repeat of the Bolshevik Revolution. It will be 1776 instead.
Elizabeth Warren is not new or different - she regurgitates failed 19th Century philosophies and ideas.
Every socialist state anywhere wined and dined the middle class before they picked their bones clean.
Want to help the Middle Class?
Dismantle the Welfare State.
tomahonky, they are quite rare
ROTFL! That’s good.
It’s the admin who wants the revolution .. so they can declare martial law and take away our guns.
When donkeys fly!!!!!
Unfortunately Warren is correct about the damage caused to this country by big banks, but completely wrong about the solution. I would love to see this issue returned to it’s rightful place. In the hands of the ideology that wishes to see government out of the private sector.
Rule of thumb: anyone talking incessantly about ‘class’ in egalitarian, socially-mobile America is a Marxist, declared or otherwise.
Republicans nominate a rino, Warren is the next president.
The government has the National Guard, practically all department employees are able to carry weapons, regular military, special forces, fighter aircraft, fighter-bombers, bombers, submarines, the UN, attack helicopters, drones, night vision, FLIR, infrared, general tech more advanced than we can get, and if all else fails, nukes.
