The big thing in the Cleveland area was Pattern Makers/Machinists. Those guys did well!
Now they are polishers; after the CNC machines have done 99% of the tough cutting; and the EDM's have done the rest.

Well, the pattern makers that I know, have kept up with studying CNC stuff, and they’re still doing well.
