'An unknown metal said to have been used in the sunken city of Atlantis has been found on 2,600-year-old shipwreck near the coast of Sicily.
The 39 ingots of ‘orichalcum’ - described by Plato in his writings about Atlantis - are utterly unique.
'Nothing similar has ever been found,' an expert said.
Plato described Atlantis as glittering ‘with the red light of orichalcum’, and he claimed that it was mined there, and used to build huge, glinting temples to the sea god Poseidon.'

It was apparently near Cadiz, Spain; and destroyed by an earthquake. Just an ordinary city, nothing “earth-shaking” about it (no pun intended), which was a major trade center, but which was destroyed almost immediately when it was flattened by a quake.
If so, it’s possible that this city traded with the fabled Atlantis.
Don, I appreciate your information and hope you will continue to correct misinformation.
Even I who has absolutely no metal engineering experience, raised my eyebrows at the description of a “red ore.”
Re the discussion about how long Atlantis and/or Plato existed. To quote Whats her face Hillary, “What difference does it make?” Plato lived a long long time ago.
This point should be a mandatory statement before, during and after any broadcast on any media!
My guess; Atlantis went under during the total continental shifting that took place during the Noahic Flood.

There is a mineral called Aurichalcite, well known to the ancients that is a natural brass ore: It is direct smelting, needs no fluxes or additives, and outputs brass.
It flipped over... Guam is next.
