WASHINGTON (AP) Republicans in Congress and a state supreme court have thrown the political hot potato known as Keystone XL straight back onto President Barack Obama's lap.
So loath is Obama to making a decision about the proposed oil pipeline that deliberations have entered their sixth year a period nearly as long as Obama's time in office. He's blamed the seemingly endless delays on bureaucratic formalities and parochial issues in Nebraska, even when skeptics claimed that the politics of the next election were giving the president cold feet.
Now the election is over, the Nebraska issue is resolved, and a bipartisan bill forcing the pipeline's approval may soon be heading to Obama's desk. Forces on all sides of the debate, for once, have the same demand for Obama: Just make the call. . .

Where is the GiveObamaParty on this?
Who speaks up?
And who protects Soros?
He is a real idiot.
“Dear Keystone.
For the good of the erf and to stop glow-bull warming, I will not allow this abomination to gaia to move forward. Thanks, barry.
P.S. If you need me I’ll on the golf course.”
Why would Obama delay his veto? It’s not like the veto can hurt Baraq, and it helps his cronies.
A Keystone veto alienates more people than it pleases including a lot of Democrats and the unions.
Ping to all y’all .... cronies cashing in on procrastination...
many thanks, Brad, for the post!
Assuming Baraq isn’t running for re-election, I’d think rewarding wealthy capitalist cronys is much more important than popularity among the laboring masses.
There are some Indians on the warpath about Keystone...even though it does not pass or effect any of their reservations.
That’s a great one!!
Had a belly laugh when I saw this cartoon—thanks.
It’s kind of humorous, Baraq took his direction from Tom Steyer, who contributed huge money to Democrats, who lost bigtime in 2014.
Republicans are idiots. They should be screaming from the rooftops that this will not only bring jobs but Union jobs. And as Obamacare and Amnesty have proven, Obama and more importantly the Democrat Party couldn’t care any less for the American worker.
Freaking milquetoast moderates.
The Keystone issue will never get to Obama’s desk...It will simply be filibustered in Senate by Democrats/Reid.
Where are the Steel Workers ?
What’s stalling a White House decision is not environmentalism but Obama cronies who stand to lose money when the project is completed. These include Warren Buffett, George Soros, the Saudis, OPEC, and powerful Wall Street players.
Why don’t the Republicans say this out loud?
Michelle hasn’t been in that lap for a long time.
