Prosecutors Recommend Felony Charges Against General Petreus for Email Leak

More than two years after he resigned as director of the CIA, it's more likely than ever that General Petraeus will be the subject of a federal indictment. Today, The New York Times is reporting that the FBI and Justice Department have recommended felony charges against the General for leaking classified information to his mistress, Paula Broadwell. Petraeus hasn't commented on the charges, but has apparently told the Justice Department that he has no interest in a plea deal. It's up to Attorney General Holder whether or not the government presses charges against Petraeus, but if it does, the result would be one of the largest court cases against a senior military officer in recent memory.

The FBI alleges that Petraeus gave Broadwell access to his CIA email account and other classified information as part of the research for her biography of Petraeus. The investigation also involved the bureau breaking into Petraeus's personal Gmail account, where he and Broadwell communicated through unsent messages in the Drafts folder. Still, the investigation and early prosecutorial measures have been unusually delicate because of the politics involved. As one FBI official told the Times as the case was first breaking, "there are a lot of sensitivities in a case like this."

An object lesson for why officers can be imprisoned for adultery under the UCMJ.

Well, I guess the general should have stayed in bed with his mistress and not gotten in bed with Obama.

I bet DOJ won’t prosecute. Petreus kept his silence on Benghazi as part of the blackmail deal. Prosecuting him will open Pandora’s box. Obama and his thugs don’t want any part of it.

Ok. Wait a minute. After the Bill Clinton escapades we are doing what? Prosecuting a man who won the war in the Middle East for adultery. Are you kidding me?

Exactly.

It has been something else watching a war hero circle the bowl during the flush.

He at one point was considered POTUS material, the next Dwight D. Eisenhower. He served America honorably and with valor, until his brains went to his loins, and he let his pecker do his thinking. The good he did for this nation far outweighs the lapse in judgment. The destruction of his professional life, public humiliation, legal costs, and damage to his marriage are enough. Holder and Obama had best back off.

I think so too, but it didn’t take much. A book and a sexy author. BBBwaaahahahaha. Petraeus sure did know his rules of engagement in that situation, didn’t he!

She walked away like Ivory Soap...

That's why they used women for spies since the beginning of time. Good old Eve started it.

"I still say this was a setup."

Word.

And it's a good bet that everyone who is or wants to be a mover and shaker within the Uniparty has a dossier outlining their transgressions back to when they were teenagers. Carved in stone, ready to deploy when they stray.

That way they can be docile, controlled drones who won't rock the boat.

Anyone wonder why Hildebeast had those 900 FBI files?

Huh, I wonder why? I would bet this never goes to court because Obama and company would never want the real truth to come out.

Just think of some of the people that would have to give sworn testimony. It would not be like the dog and pony show in Congres. The chest thumper Gowdy could not drag it out behind sealed doors.

“What Petraeus gets”, for playing footies with the White House Marxists..
serves his ass right.. for ..NOT.. falling on his sword..

Sure.... the White House would have murdered him for spilling the beans..
BUT at least he would HAVE been honorable...

He fell into the latrine... AND liked it.. screw him..
