Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney , the Republican presidential nominee in 2012, told a meeting of donors Friday that he is considering another White House bid in 2016, people present said.
The possibility of a third Romney bid could upend the emerging GOP field, coming as top Republican donors are starting to rally behind former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
Mr. Romney made the remarks during a session Friday afternoon -SNIP-

What "got us Romney" was the constant and repeated annihilation of every single conservative front runner.
He was the last man standing.
I get your point precisely, but 2nd IA - 2nd NH- 1st SC - 1st NC or even 2nd-2nd-1st-2nd would put Cruz within reach.
At that point, it's a money game - could he attract enough to saturate Super Tuesday? And that is a real problem - who is bankrolling primary conservatives these days? Adelson? Anschutz? Can't count on Bush's TX crew.
He'd have to have his own monster PAC and all of the Tea Party affiliated.
All of a sudden there is Jeb Bush, Romney, Santorum, and others raising money to run, just what happens to that money if they don’t run? Do they get to keep it for a different run for a different office? If so, that explains why everyone is jumping on the bank wagon so early.
If people donate to these losers, then they may not donate to a true Conservative, because their money has been given to the GOP already....Is that what these guys want?
How accountable do they have to be with this money?
Never?
You keep trying to compare the two, keep trying to draw parallels.
Not when they return to form and run to the rino. History is what it is.
No, thank you.
He’s a proven loser.
Not. Sure. If. English.
“Your little RINO dog (and dog-abuser)
already ran three times and lost.”
Not 3 times for President. Now, now, tell the truth.
Mitt RomneyCARE (D, Carpetbagger): "I'm not running as the Republican view or a continuation of Republican values.
That's not what brings me to the race.
(Backstabber Romney Video, accessed 9/19/07)
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldnt make any sense at all.""
-- President Ronald Reagan
At the risk of sounding like I agree with a Mitt Romney supporter, I will second that.
If Ronald Reagan threw his hat in the ring in 2016, Mitt Romney would probably still win the nomination.
That's how broken the system is.
Oh...then all is okay.
Bingo.
BULLSQUEEZE.
Please cite factual references for your delusions...if you have any.
If you mean Reagan, that wasn’t the situation, Reagan ran against two sitting republican presidents, and he almost knocked off a sitting president as the counting went on after midnight “Ford prevailed with 1,187 delegates to Reagan’s 1,070”.
It was during Reagan’s third run that Romney left the GOP, eventually to become a democrat supporter, fund raiser, and even voter.
So far all the delusion .... are yours.
Rat Romney was a bad governor,
violated the Mass Constitution,
and imposed his statism on America.
Sounds like someone doesn’t like being told of homosexual judge appointing, homosexual marriage instituting, gun banning, tax raising romneycare Romney’s record.
Two open Romneybots lying like a hurricane and no lightning.
Know of a conservative site out there anywhere that is like FR used to be?
"Bingo."
Yep, he led that 2012 campaign right into the gutter. With determination.
What a world beater.
Tell me I'm wrong....
Entirely different parameters, then.
Thanks, Ansel.
