Gohmert: People Backed Out of Vote Against Boehner At Last Minute
Breitbart ^ | January 6, 2015 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 01/06/2015 10:44:55 PM PST by Rufus2007

Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX) said that “people that were right there ready to go ended up deciding not to vote with us” in his campaign to unseat John Boehner (R-OH) as House Speaker on Tuesday’s “Sean Hannity Show.”

“We had enough votes but people that were right there ready to go ended up deciding not to vote with us,” he stated.

Although, he told Hannity that some representatives were “blown away” by the number of constituents lobbying their representatives to vote against Boehner and that some of Boehner’s allies “really scared they didn’t have the votes” and that some representatives told him they were able to get promises for action in exchange for voting for Boehner.

Levin said today that the Dems never disappointed their base

That is true recently for sure -- and likely why the republicans have their largest majority in the house since the 1940s. And why they now hold the Senate again.

US Rep Steven Fincher voted for the Cry Baby, his phone number is 202 225-4714 give him a piece of your mind. He calls himself a conservative. Note I wrote it with a small c, he is NOT a Big C Conservative. Moderate at best.

Coward you lost my vote! We did NOT WANT THE SPINELESS CRY BABY RINO!!!!! Congressman Stephen Fincher

steven fincher’s excuse PATHETIC EXCUSE for voting for cry baby.

With no other candidate in the race gathering enough support to challenge Mr. Boehner, today I paused on my vote for Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives during the first round of the vote. I want to send a clear message that I expect our leadership to have a strong commitment to conservative principles. Mr. Boehner and the other members of the leadership team are on a short leash with many conservatives. Republicans now control the Senate, and it is time to unify around a conservative agenda to stop President Obama’s breathtakingly liberal agenda that has failed to produce jobs and opportunity for Americans. I’m optimistic and determined to get Washington out of the way to allow the economy to expand and create jobs.

gop-e has had no gonads since Ronald Reagan!

DeJaris was the only Tennessee GOP Congressman to go against Boehner. Roe didn't Duncan didn't BLACKBURN didn't, Black didn't nor did Fleischmann whom has received my last vote. I reluctantly voted for him last time. The two I didn't expect to sell us out was Duncan and Blackburn. I hope next election one of the northern counties in Fleischmann's district stretching from the Kentucky line down to the Chattanooga Area RINO Oligarch will put up a good alternative to unseat him.

Blackburn lost a lot of her Conservative credibility yesterday IMO. It looked more like a rouse to run interference for Boehner with her name out there as a replacement. Duncan up till yesterday had been fairly solid. I hope he isn't becoming RINO like his dad did toward the end.

Can we finally give up the notion that it’s possible to work within the Republican Party?

All part of the show. Boner was never going to be unseated, it was a play for the masses.

They ALL do, eventually; that's why we need term limits!

I just sent this email to my Congresscritter:

"Dear Dr. Burgess; I am very disappointed that you supported John Boehner for Speaker; there were a number of good alternatives, not the least of whom is Mr. Gohmert.
I hope you haven't forgotten that your constituents are largely very conservative and very much opposed to the ACA, to relaxed immigration laws, and to virtually every other initiative supported by the current occupant of the White House."

Thanks to Rep Gohmert and to the others.

It made me smile to think that we might actually have a house with fighters...and not just another branch of the body obama.

Whoever they are, they are nothing more than cowards, they’re abused spouses afraid to speak out against their captors.

Bonehead just committed ‘domestic violence’ and no one wants to admit it.

I’ll name one who cowered: my Representative Raul Labrador. He’s now bleating how sorry he is that his constituents are “angry” with him. You ain’t seen nuttin’ yet, sweetcakes.

I would say Paxon was the “mastermind” if there was a single mastermind.

Dick Armey allegedly backed out because Paxon would have been Speaker instead of him.

Too bad Boner doesn’t play hardball with Zero the same way he does with the GOP caucus trying to keep his job.

A while back I made a similar comment about the GOPe in general and someone accused me of supporting the Democrats.

I hope our local RINO lovers are happy.

Some sources say Boehner dreamed the idea up and wanted Paxon as SOH. BUt what you say makes sense as well. Guess who's wife was a Keynote Speaker at the 1996 Bob Dole Says Big Tent Freak Show?

Paxton and Molinari were quite the power couple and then boom, they both quit Congress.

Yeap They are now Lobbyist. Imagine that. LOL. But that whole stunts is why Boehner can’t be trusted. What occurred was the GOP-E Coup from which the GOP never recovered any sense of Conservatism nor Constitutional discipline. They are much like the Johnson Democrats of the 1960’s.
