Her main issue in 2010 was Obamacare which makes sense as her husband is a surgeon in private practice.
Otherwise she was never a conservative.
She won her seat against a 7-term democrat incumbent who was the idiot caught on video pushing, shoving and threatening two students.
After the video she received attention and her contributions from conservatives spiked.
After Ellmers barely won election by less than 1%, the state republican party gerrymandered her Congressional District to shore up more votes for her so she’s now difficult to defeat. She had 3 republican primary challengers in 2014.
So she’s firmly in Boehner’s camp sucking up to the establishment benefits.
I have family and some roots in N. Carolina. I will tell them to remember this about Ellmers and to spread the word that they have false tea party conservative in their midst.
Obamacare makes everyone buy private health insurance and funnels the extra money into insurance companies and on through to health care providers, it increases Medicaid spending to funnel more money to private companies that contract to do Medicaid for government and throws the extra $$$ onto health care providers.
The secret of Obamacare is bigger paydays for big insurance companies, hospitals and health care providers.....
Elmers and her hubbie want to keep Obamacare and or tweak it to their I advantage IMHO.
I’m in her district. Only reason she won the first time was because of Bob Etheridge choking a man on camera. ( He was a tool also.) and Obamacare. She is no conservative. Another GOP-e.
You might want to post it on your state page. The problem is a lot of FR’s don’t even know they have a state page if they do use it. It’s for choir practice and chit chat. Forgetting they can do some activism with a printout and a pass around.
