Not at all, old Ike was as liberal as they came; he balked at Goldwater, didn’t live to see Goldwater turn left.

If he was in the least honorable, he would - after what the polls showed.
If cry baby is speaker tomorrow, I’m changing my registration. I hope many more do the same.

I was watching Greta Van Sustern on FOX and she said that there are only nine votes against Borhner. That says to me that some of the new Congressmen that ran as conservatives are Libertarians.

Hardens Hollow ...
My post was satire ...
that might have been the news report if hundreds of FIRE Boehner Rallies had indeed been conducted by the 315-plus Facebook conservatives who had PROMISED to do them ...
and likewise, in our own backyard ...
if the scores of Free Republic keyboard commandos had actually gotten off their lazy arses last Saturday (2015-01-03) ...
as Jim Robinson had encouraged us to do.
Its a classic case of wounda, shouda, coulda ...
We BOTH want John Boehner FIRED ... its just that hundreds of Free Republic and Facebook patriots were too flippin LAZY to do a thing.
The truth hurts sometimes, especially when its about the pathetic cowardice of ones own side.

I think Greta may have missed a few who have declared. Haven’t heard from many of the new guys yet. They probably won’t declare in advance.

With respect Mr. Don-o, the Buckley rule is a load of crap. its tacitly accepting mediocrity or worse on the theory that voting for someone who is marginally more conservative is a virtue. It isn’t. It’s volunteering to make a sophie’s choice.

I am thinking of the WA State Republicans. I think Cathy Mc Morris Rogers is a Libertarian and I know that Clint Didier is, and probably that Hispanic woman, as well.

Only the demise of the GOP will bring meaningful change. I support an obstructionist third party. Where is it?

I left in 1996. I am still a registered Republican, but I haven’t voted for a guy since 1984. We’ve been thirty freaking years in the wilderness.
The guys in the GOPe chain of command, are blithering idiots. The party of Lincoln has become the party of stinkin’.

I left a few years ago...the writing was on the wall...the GOP are a bunch of greedy morons. Bring on the Liberty Party!
I left in 2007 after GWB refused to defend one single policy of his against the lying media and their lefty hounds screeching 24x7 about evil Bush. GWB destroyed the GOP, and gave Piglosi the Congressional House in Nov 2006 and a couple of years later gave Obie the White House in Nov 2008. I AM GONE FOREVER and only vote in local and state elections now, being a registered I.

What’s really funny is when the left, and the GOPe, say things like, Reagan couldn’t get elected now because he’d be considered a moderate. What they fail to take into account is that the left has been pushing their agenda with success, and that even “moderate” Republicans in the past never had to take a stance on something like sodomite “marriage”, because no one back then even considered such a perversion to be a possibility.

Too bad it cant also be happening in the Senate. These people need to start representing their voters again and not the establishment. Better to focus on one at a time.
Firing both at the same time is probably beyond us.
But oust one and the other becomes vulnerable...

Yes. Who ever thought that there would open accepted sodomy and transvestites in the , for pete's sake? That our "representatives" would just ignore the lawbreakers pouring over our borders, that socialistic healthcare would be forced upon us with no meaningful opposition, or that the courts would ignore things like California's proposition vote, three different times, against sodomite "marriage", and advance the left's agenda through the court since the people wouldn't play along?
