New York Times ^ | Jan. 5, 2015 | Robert Pear

For years, Harvard’s experts on health economics and policy have advised presidents and Congress on how to provide health benefits to the nation at a reasonable cost. But those remedies will now be applied to the Harvard faculty, and the professors are in an uproar.

But those professors are “special”.

And as we all know, all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.

The best way to completely destroy ALL socialist idiocies is to require that ALL are treated identically.

And that ain’t gonna happen!

These professors should work to find out what is really causing the high cost of health care in the US. It’s not overuse, it’s high prices for each procedure - higher than any other country in the world, by a factor of 2 or 3.

Such research would show who is really making the money in health care.

Here are the changes:

The university is adopting standard features of most employer-sponsored health plans: Employees will now pay deductibles and a share of the costs, known as coinsurance, for hospitalization, surgery and certain advanced diagnostic tests. The plan has an annual deductible of $250 per individual and $750 for a family. For a doctor’s office visit, the charge is $20. For most other services, patients will pay 10 percent of the cost until they reach the out-of-pocket limit of $1,500 for an individual and $4,500 for a family.

I wish I had a $750 family deductible. I don’t even have a co-pay for doctor visits, and my co-pay for everything else is 20%. These guys have it good.

They’re complaining about a $750 deductible? Mine is $5300 per year, and this is with a high premium policy.

High costs are a function of high overhead caused by government intrusion into the health care field. A physician spends 75% of his budget on government required services. Reduce those costs and health care costs will go down precipitously. That is, get the government out of health care, completely, and health care will be affordable again.
It is important to understand that Federal intrusion in to the health care field is in direct violation of the Constitution. Health care is specifically restricted to the states. Current appeals before the SC make this precise case. We shall see if the SC upholds the Constitution.

These laws sound so good when they only apply to the little people.

“It’s equivalent to taxing the sick,” Professor Green said. “I don’t think there’s any government in the world that would tax the sick.”

It is call Obamacare and our government is doing it. Those who have coverage will forgo treatment due to the expense, in order to provide coverage for those unable to purchase insurance.

Tax on the sick, exactly!

They never meant for these programs to apply to THEM.

Every liberal elitist instinctively knows that these sorts of programs are intended for THE LITTLE PEOPLE.

Do these overpaid, underworked, snobby, know-it-all liberals want the poor citizens, the destitute illegal aliens, the lazy, the grifters and the moochers to lose their “free” Obamacare?
