Conservative Activists Launch Anti-Boehner Website

On the heels of Texas Republican Louie Gohmert’s announcement Sunday that he’s officially a candidate for Speaker of the House, conservative activists have launched a website aimed at getting present Speaker John Boehner voted out.

The FreedomWorks website explains its position under the title “Speaker Boehner Has Got to Go”:

It’s time for a new Speaker of the House.

John Boehner has been Speaker of the House for four years. And in those four years he has betrayed conservatives and cut backroom deals to give President Obama exactly what he wants.

We can’t accept a Speaker of the House who continually surrenders to Obama’s radical agenda.

Now is the chance for Republicans to elect a principled leader – a leader who will stand up to Obama and the progressives.

The page provides a form that can be emailed to representatives, urging them to vote against Boehner for Speaker of the House.

Along with Gohmert, Rep. Ted Yoho also threw his hat into the Speaker ring.

On Twitter, I called on my newly elected Congressman, Brian Babin (R-TX) to vote for Louie Gohmert. I know it will be hard for a Freshman Congressman to buck a D.C. Insider, like Boehner, but, I hope he does. I'm obsessed with this mission for the next 36 hours: Dump John Boehner as Speaker of The House.

Probably. Even if Boehner holds on to the Speaker’s gavel, I’d like to think this would be a wake-up call for him. But, I doubt it will be.

It will never be easier than right now. Once they get to DC and start compromising, very few find their way back.

Did he campaign as a constitutional conservative? Don't give him an inkling of an excuse to backstab his voters!

Freedom Works is a despicable organization, starting with the "top" .... Matt Kibbe ...

After being a member of $$$ contributor to Freedom Works for some time, I "personally" contacted Matt Kibbe and over Twelve of Freedom Works executive staff about participating in the 2015-01-03 rallies against Obama Amnesty and to FIRE John Boehner.

They never even replied.

Freedom Works boasts over 8,000 "public member groups".

They could have easily made a difference, but choose not to.

It's another case when "hidden agendas", "leadership egos" and the $$$ financial lechery of so-called "Patriot Groups" is KILLING the American Tea Party movement.

Some argue that groups like ALIPAC and Freedom Works only got involved in the FIRE John Boehner activity (after it had been "massively" nationally broadcast at Free Republic and Facebook (for over a month) ...

because it was a "fund raising opportunity" ...

and because they were so damned embarrassed to be "behind the curve".



Freedom Works is disgusting similar to other "Conservative Patriot" groups ...

where we are asked to Sign a STUPID Petition (that goes straight to the trash) ... and then send Freedom Works, WMD, Eric Erickson (ad nausuem) a $ 25 donation.



For groups like Freedom Works the MOST ALARMING aspect of the 2015-01-03 national rallies was the organizer REFUSED TO ACCEPT DONATIONS.

Frankly, America is politically screwed if our "leadership" continues the "secret backdoor corruption" that's been the dirty little secret for years and years.

95 percent of elected Republicans are not conservative or fake being conservative.

This 5 percent difference almost dictates the need for a new party to really stand for something.

I will not vote for almost all Republicans and write-in conservatives if I have to.....that’s what I did last November. I am flat out not fooled anymore by the tough talk and fake posturing.

Of course not. FreedomWorks is as full of sh*t as is Glenn Beck and his content-stealing blog whore site TheBlaze. I have seen that stupid Oliver Darcy and others steal Free Republic exclusives at least 3 times without any attribution to Kristinn et al. I never read them anymore.
