A second round of poll results from a survey of Republican voters taken Christmas week was released on Sunday. The poll shows that a revolution is at hand with a stunning majority of 2014 GOP voters who gave their party control of both houses of Congress ready to throw out the Republican leaders of both houses in favor of new leadership.
Only sixteen percent of voters surveyed want both John Boehner and Mitch McConnell to serve as leaders of the House and Senate respectively when the 114th Congress convenes this week. Boehners support on his own for Speaker of the House of Representatives is a pitiful twenty-five percent while McConnells support for Senate Majority Leader is just as bad at twenty-seven percent.
A shocking nine out ten GOP voters have no faith in political leaders of either party.
Ninety-one percent agreed with the statement, Political leaders are more interested in protecting their power and privilege than doing what is right for the American people.
Eighty-nine percent agreed with the statement, The power of ordinary people to control our country is getting weaker every day, as political leaders on both sides fight to protect their own power and privilege, at the expense of the nations well-being.
Seventy-nine percent do not believe, the US government is working for the peoples best interests.
Eighty-seven percent believe the country is on the wrong track.
The latest poll results on Boehner come two days before he stands for reelection as Speaker.
Two Republicans announced over the weekend they would be running against Boehner for the Speakership, Ted Yoho of Florida and Louie Gohmert of Texas.
As Republican House Members decide who to vote for, they will undoubtedly take into consideration these numbers for Boehner that show what little regard their Republican voters have for his Speakership:
Only twenty-four percent believe Boehner has been effective in opposing Obamas agenda.
Only thirty-seven percent trust Boehner to fight for the issues that are most important to Republicans.
Only forty-three percent of Republican voters believe Boehner has the best interests of the American people at heart, rather than special interests.
More poll results are expected to be released on Monday. Word is the results on amnesty are devastating.
The results released Sunday show seventy-five percent of GOP voters voted for a Republican for Congress to stop President Obamas amnesty for illegal immigrants.
Eighty-one percent voted for a Republican for Congress to stop Obamacare.
The Peoples Poll of 602 Republicans or 2014 GOP voters was conducted by EMC Research and supervised by Caddell & Associates during December 26-30, 2014 with a margin of error of four percent.
Meaning the margin of error is negligible with regard to the stunning lack of support for Boehner and McConnell.

Very encouraging stats, kristinn.
The momentum is building, thank goodness!
This coming week looks very promising.
Time to take our country back!!!!
just heard Mcconnell on abc radio say governing from the center is what the voters want by giving Republicans the majority in the house and senate...what bullcrap...what the hell is the center...more big govt...no wonder GOP leadership has little support.
What have Boehner or McConnell lead us to? If nothing, how can they be called ‘leaders’?
> Only twenty-four percent believe Boehner has been effective in opposing Obamas agenda.
And that 24 % are LIVs
We notified our representative what we think of Boehner in two separate emailings earlier today. Hope more do the same, and get this guy on the band wagon to get rid of Boehner.
It might go without saying, but Send emails Call your Congressman.
16 percent in liberal circles is a majority. It’s all pre-arranged.
Yep.
KY and OH don’t look very good in their choice of “leadership”.
well then conservatives and even some republicans should be melting down the phone lines this week.
Yep, like Mexico we have a one party system. And it will be even more so once amnesty kicks in.
You hit the nail on the head. The rinos know they must share power to have power. That means they have to go along with the democrats. I wouldn’t at all be surprised to see rinos switch parties. As long as they control the elections they can stay in office.
Look what happened all over the country in the primaries except for one. For McConnell to say he was going to punch the tea party in the nose shows he knew the election was already in the bag. Hell, they even openly used the democrats to re-elect Cochran. Not because they loved the old senile goat. But because they did not want another Cruz in the senate.
And you’re right in that the people will not do anything about it. And, in my oppinion, the people are massively outgunned. They even have the local cops on their side. Over the years they’ve allowed the local cops to become militarized and anti-constitution. Now they look at us as the enemy just like the political elite.
The only hope would be a military coup. That won’t happen because the military has been purged. And the republicans took part in it.
I think McCain picked Palin so she could be ruined. She was exposing the republican elites.
Twice the people have handed the gopE the power. Twice they have broken their promises. It’s time to stop voting for them. Let them all be voted out. Keep Cruz and Lee around just to piss ‘em off and maybe give McCain a stroke.
Contrary to the vomit Barry’s state controlled “media” is spewing, Americans do not want the GOP to cooperate and “work” with the DemocRATS to get their commie agenda rolling again. Obama once said, “Voting is the best revenge.” Americans didn’t vote “cooperation” last November. That’s a “media” myth. It’s time for a reckoning for the past six years. The GOP needs to get up off the floor, brush themselves off and treat the commie lib ‘RATS the way the ‘RATS treated them over the last 6 years.
“the importance of what the voters think about this issue is zero.zero.”
Yup! Just wait! He’ll be voted back in.
If Bonehead Bohner gets voted back in, a crusade needs to be started to REMOVE every damn one that votes for him.
There ARE consequences and this particular decision has MAJOR consequences attached.
