Not true. Courts steal domain names all the time. Just ask the folks at PirateBay dot etc.

They have hit a few pirating and torrent services, but for all that they have done, there is still plenty of Internet bootlegging going on. The Internet bootleggers adapt too, as well. The government makes their own nice sanctuaries, but outside there, they aren’t apparently effective.
