American leftism has gotten an awful lot of mileage by monopolizing the moral high ground. It is the sole force in American that favors the poor. The sole enemy of racism. The sole comforter of rape victims. The sole protector of defenseless Muslims. The sole guardian of the environment, and so on ad nauseum.
It all falls apart eventually--with friends like the left, nobody needs enemies. But often overlooked is that fact that it’s bogus from the start. Any prolonged glance at the left reveals it to be an ideology of power, its major tool violence, its goal revenge.
Leftism has always been about revenge. The works of Marx are filled with fantasies of retribution and judgment. Their tone reeks of resentment and paranoia,with blame cast for even the most trivial. "The bourgeoisie,” Marx once declared in a letter to Engels, “will remember my carbuncles until their dying day.” That’s leftism in a nutshell.
The Paris communards of 1870, the first instance of an actual leftist government-in-being,immediately began shooting bourgeois on taking power, giving full rein to the European hatred for the middle class that is all but incomprehensible to Americans. That practice has been repeated by every hard left government that has ever taken power--the USSR, communist China, Castroite Cuba, Pol Pot’s Kampuchea, down to minor examples such as Bela Kun’s Hungarian “Regime of Light” (1919), which reintroduced the Roman practice of decimation.
This unvarying tendency toward atrocity suggests that all these regimes had something in common, and it’s not that they all suffered from boils. It’s the lust for vengeance--revenge for slights and crimes either real or imaginary, that can be found in every leftist from Nechaev to Bill Ayers. No less than Barack Obama spilled that when,his back apparently against the wall in 2012, he began ranting about “voting for revenge”...

I had a family member in college at that time who told me she went to the demonstrations and screamed and yelled, and partied, which was what it was about for many of those students. She said she had no idea what it all meant. She simply liked the “party.” Many, if not most were drinking heavily and using drugs at the time. In fact, that family member is a hopeless alcoholic today. As I write, she is in a hospital, extremely ill from substance abuse. I might add that she was skilled in her profession but that skill was overcome by the addictions. She ended up apolitical but her nation was very damaged by the actions she took when she was still too stupid, as a youth, to know what she was endorsing through her response to the urgings of radical professors. I think this is what affluence bought us, folks..Shake it all down and it spells, ENVY, and a feeling of entitlement from those who deem themselves smarter because they are publicly visible or have a degree of some kind. They look at the “self made,” and steam at those who succeeded under a capitalistic system without those so called “credentials.” Common sense and real abilities take flight eventually as those types manage to use their spare time, which they have a lot of through their desk jobs or inherited money, to run for office. Then, you have the super rich elite, who turn left, because they do not want the newly rich to knock them off their perches as “American Royalty.” Finally, true morality, which originates in religion becomes a threat to the carnal masses and that really fuels hatred on the left. In the end, you have to ask..”Can any nation stand affluence for very long? Is that why freedom lasts not much longer than 200 years for most nations?

I recently read a book, Snakes in Suits: When Psychopaths Go To Work,” by Paul Babiak and Robert D. Hare. It gave a pretty good description of why even the corporate world today is seeking a narcissist to fill top level positions..It is simply that the ruthless will do whatever they need to do to win regardless of the cost to others.

Thank you for the book tip. I've noticed that Big Business also has latched on to "climate change/global warming and markets their products using "environmental" triggers. The Left has done a good job of indoctrinating the public into modifying their lives to "save the Earth" (constrict normal, common sense behavior and bow at the alter of environmenalism).

Yes, you are exactly correct. And, thank you for posting this best ever article. I do oftentimes wonder, though, being from the medical profession, just what percentage of our population is addicted to something, either prescription or otherwise. Mild altering drugs often work on the frontal lobes of the brain which is the center of conscience and judgment..I have seen nice people, with values, turn into narcissistic ogres when they are addicted to these substances. Someone has said that at least 20% are addicted which can be described as epidemic. However, I believe the true number is greater than that. And, those numbers include people all across the socioeconomic spectrum. I doubt that America has had such narcissism in high places before and we can probably thank modern technology for that. To the narcissist, an audience to manipulate is the most longed for kind of nutrition......

You have touched on a distinctive quality of the Left. There is no dispute about it. Ideology is pie in the sky and the Left is up to their eyeballs in it.
The ideology of the Left will knock us down the road to destruction. Obama knows his ideology demands he takes America down the road to destruction—inch by inch, step by step. Why is he doing it? This is a man possessed. He is mentally deranged—blinded by his own ideology. To do so his allies, the DemonRATs, wage an ideological war. Such things as “the war on women,” and class warfare work well for them. It enable them to use the Alinsky Method to demonize the Republicans. If manipulates the low infobots to follow Utopian fantasies rather than reality. It allows the divide and conquer strategy. DemonRATs use ideology in alliance with their leader because they know smoke and mirrors is all they have. They are not about fixing problems. They are about maintaining power even if it means destroying everything to do so. The ends justifies the means.
So, if we avoid the ideological page, we can use a pragmatic approach to appeal to the low infobots. Then, the other side looks like the party that has their heads in the clouds rather than the job of fixing America’s problems. They would rather play a round of golf or go on vacation rather than fixing problems. I am hoping America is seeing the DemonRATs as the party lacking the aptitude for fixing America’s problems—like their leader, Zer0.

I wonder how urban blacks today deal with the “revenge” Obama apparently had in store for them. For all of the difficulties faced by other Americans since the communist revolution of 2008, the lot of black Americans has deteriorated far worse than those of others. I’ve never seen a president create such division of a nation in my whole life. It sure seems intentional.
