ROCKUMENTARY: THE TOP 10 OF 2014I moved from coastal Georgia back to Washington state due to the humidity and the mosquitos. Being priced out of Seattle, I moved to a quiet little conservative Dutch farming village just south of the Canadian border. Its homey, safe and just a few hours from Seattle.
So what were you up to in 2014?
Cue the Rockumentary theme!
San Remo Golden Strings: Festival Time
#10 5 Seconds of Summer: She Looks So PerfectBillboard: With a hook thats ingrained in your head midway through the song and an instantly classic shout-out to American Apparel, this understandably broke 5 Seconds of Summer in the US and introduced us to pop-punks great new hopes.
Publius: Im not sure what to make of it. Its moderately melodic. Drumbo could probably tell me what to listen for. Ive been out of popular musical circulation too long.

Half the songs tonight required warnings about language. I was horrified at some of the stuff.

Believe me, i know.
My little nine year old guitar players request a song...i look it up on youTube and the lyrics are so inappropriate that i have to tell them No Way.

ROCKUMENTARY: THE TOP 10 OF 2014
#9 Taylor Swift: Blank SpaceBillboard: After years of writing scathing songs about her ex-flames, Taylor Swift tossed every acidic Maybe shes the problem user comment into a blender and served up a self-aware smoothie as the second single from 1989". Bonus points for a music video that ranks among, or maybe at the top of, Swifts very best visuals.
Publius: Interesting visuals, somewhat catchy tune, but I wouldnt want a b!tch like that in my life. Ive known a few too many psychotics to do that again. Great sex, but you pay a terrible price for it.
