I remember reading in a magazine interview that Angelina said she didn’t care for her natural child as much as she did the adopted ones. Maybe Shiloh decided she had to become “needy,” a “survivor,” in order to win her mother’s affection.

I usually hate the idea of the state removing children from their parents. But I would be willing to make an exception in this case.

I’m sensing some sort of warped identification with her stepfather from that photo. She admires him and rather than seeing him as the sort of man she’d like to marry someday, she’s instead trying to become him. Ego is flattered on the other end of the exchange, which speaks poorly of Mr. Pitt, imho.
