What are the coordinates? Can we help in the search by using GPS maps online of the area?
this link mentions Belitung:
“... As authorities scramble to find out what happened to AirAsia flight QZ8501, so far believed to have crashed in the waters of Belitung, an Indonesian news portal Detik.com reported that there might still be hope.
It reported from Surabaya that a family of a missing passenger received a glimmer of hope via a Blackberry Messenger (BBM) text.
The portal quoted Intan, the sister of passenger Martinus Djomy as saying: “Kabarnya mendarat darurat di Belitung Timur, semua selamat. Tapi kita tetap butuh kepastian.”

The Malaysian Insider reported the sister of a passenger Intan, as saying, “Kabarnya mendarat darurat di Belitung Timur, semua selamat. Tapi kita tetap butuh kepastian.”
In English, this is translated into: “We got word that that the plane made an emergency landing in Belitung Timur, everyone is safe. But we still need to be sure.”
Intan said that she received the text message from a friend via a Blackberry Messenger (BBM) text.
Love to see how many friendly Sons of Muhammed (May Peace Be Upon Him) were on that passenger list.
Dear Ann Landers,
Am I too suspicious?
In this case, only if I was on a mission trip. I already do those in Swaziland (Africa), so it is probably not going to happen. That is not an area of the world that interests me from a tourism standpoint.
Has anyone heard from the good general Mcinerney?
I understand what you are saying. God did not call me to someplace with snow for a reason. But, He did place me in Indonesia.
I’ve been wondering if they had found a fuel slick yet.
AMEN
Prayers for their families...
Any updates on this?
Prayers up for all the relatives, waiting for their loved ones whom they will never see again.

Alert!!!! Alert!!!! Fox Breaking
Confirmed!!!! they have found debrie from the plane...parts in the ocean and life jacket seen....nothing yet...looks grim and sounds grim.
Appears they have seen victims in the water....:(
If they have life jackets it’s rather telling they knew they were in trouble.
Was unable to open the link, ColdOne. Would like to read this link though. Will attempt to open the link again, later. Thanks for thinking of me by providing this link. The transponder had me curious also.
Interesting WildHighlander. Am supposing a phone hack and phone number spoof after we know plane has been found or think plane has been found. Have no reason to believe though that plane has not been found. Prayers for those Lost and their Families.
Thank you for the questions but my assurances of ... I knew only what was in the links provided and coordinates were unknown. Also must confess my knowledge is only that have no knowledge. Was waiting just like everyone else since my knowledge was not knowledge, just mere speculation.
