Hello all. Sitting here at home and wondering if anyone else out there is spending this evening alone.
On this night of all nights when families gather and friends share gifts and time, some of us are, for various reasons, spending Christmas Eve solo.
Not necessarily a bad thing - alone doesn't always mean lonely. But, it does mean alone.
Check in if that includes any of you, my fellow Freepers.
Get on over to Pandora.com, type in a musician’s name or type of music and click ‘ play ‘. You’ll be happy!
Am not alone but really wish I were. Lots of passive aggressive behavior, people I really do not care for, control freak rules about what can be said and not said - oh joy.
Well, rules about who can say what. Your allowed to respond if you agree with these nuts.
Sounds like you’re in the best place then. And I’ll be sure to watch out for you on the threads then ;)
My dad died Thursday in his office in Houston. We three kids in Austin had to leave work to run there to stop the buzzarding about his estate occuring within an hour of his death.
My mom and sister schemed to grab 75% of his estate while my brother, me and said sister were driving down frantically to stop the looting.
Long story short, I’ve had to divorce my entire family including my daughter over this. The buzzards went on full offense, facebook war and I most assuredly am spending Christmas alone with God after this. He and my brother are the only people I want to see, outside of work family.
It would have been a lot funnier if you had said,
I’m just someone taking a minute before midnight Mass to wish you a Merry Christmas and I hope it is not as lonely as you feared it would be.
I hop your new year is filled wit. wonderful surprises!
That sounds sinful! yummmmmm
I’m alone this Christmas like a lot of folks here. I *LOVE* Christmas and I really hate it when I have a stinker.
Bless you, Publius, for posting that Christmas treat!

I remember your old tag, ‘acerbic by nature, not by nurture’.
I did a detailed analysis of "Messiah" in Post #8 for those who are interested. It's the pedant in me.
LOL!

A most difficult situation for you and your brother... my best for a fair outcome for all...
Just got home from the pub. Wished my girls a good time, then stopped by a buddy’s place. He’s out, so I went home. Just me and the dogs. Good.
G_d bless all, and to all a good new year!
Dude, that’s terrible.
Spent the evening with my 90 year old mom
at assisted living. She’s doing pretty well
and Christmas went pretty smoothly for our family.
Sorry to hear of your troubles, hope the new Year
brings you better fortune.

LOL!
Backatcha, PROCON!
Glad you got to spend time with your elderly Mom. I will take a trip to see my 88 year old Mom next Monday and over New Years. Haven’t seen her since August. Gotta make hay while the sun is still shining on her twilight years.
We’re never alone when we have Jesus with us, He is always there with you. When we’re alone, its a great time to talk to HIm. Maybe go to church in the morning, then in the afternoon take in a movie. Lots of Asian restaurants in our area are open tomorrow, if there are some open in your area, get a little something to eat.
In looking up Schizoid Personality Disorder, sounds like it would be more of a problem for your family and others than you. I mean, it sounds like you wouldn’t even notice you had it -or care. Is that right?
