SELECT US THEATERS SAY THEY’LL SHOW ‘THE INTERVIEW’ THURSDAY

Several movie theaters said they will begin showing “The Interview” Thursday, seemingly putting the comedy back in theaters after Sony Pictures Entertainment canceled its release.

The Alamo Drafthouse in Texas said on Tuesday that Sony has authorized it to screen the film starting Christmas Day. Atlanta’s Plaza Theater also said it will show the film.

The movie was always going to be a turkey.

(btw does anyone remember the european who did a movie call the assinatin of gwb? It was supposed to be art and the same idiots protesting this bad movie were praising that bad movie)

Could be. Forbidden fruit is highly desired. Given that some who have seen the movie say it’s not exactly oscar material might give one to think it was.

No, too much can go wrong, and movies is only one small part of the Sony Empire. The company acted reasonably. Pull the plug on the thing, figure out how to deal with liability issues. If the U.S. government has any brains, they will check out the limited # of theatres for strange behavior and catch some bad guys. That's a big IF.
