No, they also have to refuse to take reports of crimes. But that’s happening too.

Sure thing. The Titanium bathtub andcthe bullet prof plexiglass will only cost a couple million and about 2 tons per squad car.
It seems that 0bama and H0lder were too clever by half with this race/cops strategy.
If this escalates, the populace will never agree to being disarmed; if anything, this portends stronger and wider support for the 2nd Amendment.
The cops will be reduced to report-writers. Not the way I would have wished it, but no one asked me.
One more thing: Look at the attack on Rahm Emmanuel’s son. Something stinks about it (where were the armed guards; was it a message to Rahm or was a cynical ploy by him to be seen as a victim, same as his ‘peasants’)?
There are many things happening here at the same time, most of them aimed at achieving the goals of the radical left.
That’s where the game is going.
