CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Four years ago, few seemed to care when Rodney Brown uttered, "I can't breathe" after being tased 11 times by Cleveland police officers during a New Year's Eve traffic stop at least that's how his family felt.
Now the phrase has become a powerful symbol of civil unrest, a rallying cry represented on T-shirts and chanted during marches protesting police use of force cases across the country, like the one involving Eric Garner, who repeated it 11 times while lying face down on a Staten Island sidewalk.

Look the cops are to arrest people, not kill them.
Crime’s a dangerous occupation... maybe these losers should get an honest job... or kill themselves or something.
I’m sick of GD pity for the creeps who live by preying on the innocent. May they rot in hell.
well I agree with that, get a job. Quit being a criminal. But I want the cops to arrest the bad guys, not execute them.
Prior to “I can’t breathe” there were lots of other “I can’ts”:
I can’t drive with my lights on.
I can’t keep my pants up.
I can’t cooperate with the police.
I can’t stop looting.
I can’t stop selling drugs.
I can’t be a father to my children.
I can’t get enough tattoos.
I can’t go to school.
I can’t keep a job.

Ordered mine yesterday! I’m not a T-shirt fan but had to have this one.
The place where these are made was vandalized yesterday.

Everyone needs to support them. I know I will and I hope they hang tough and don’t let thugs intimidate them.
There is no point in writing a story about something that happened 4 years ago, especially in this incendiary atmosphere, unless the writer wants more dead people.
How about this - a person commits a minimum of 10 felonies a year for five years and it’s an automatic death sentence. No appeals, no crap - just put the monster to death.
when Rodney Brown uttered, "I can't breathe" after being tased 11 timesEleven times. Eleven [bleep]in' times. No cop will tase a perp eleven times unless the first ten times didn't settle him/her down.
Nicely done!
