Obamacare’s Christmas surprise
The Washington Times ^ | December 19, 2014 | Rep. Mark Meadows

Posted on 12/20/2014 8:00:41 PM PST by Tolerance Sucks Rocks

If you like your health care plan, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has a Christmas surprise for you! When will this new present arrive? December 25th.

In an ongoing effort to keep Obamacare numbers elevated, CMS has embarked on the next step of its government takeover of healthcare.

It seems CMS is taking a page from Jonathan Gruber’s book; rather than allowing the “stupid” masses to make a decision on their own health plan, CMS has proposed a new rule that includes an overly reaching provision allowing CMS to re-enroll anyone who has not made the annual trek back to healthcare.gov in a cheaper plan of CMS’ choosing.

That’s right, the government will choose your plan, perhaps limit access to your doctor, and ultimately make the decision on what is “best” for you.

Not to worry, just like Lady Justice, who wears a blindfold when determining guilt or innocence, CMS will use a blindfold to pick your plan. The agency will select your plan without knowing your medical history. They will do so without knowing if you are currently undergoing treatment or working with a specific doctor. They will do so without knowing your financial status. Despite the fact that the millions of people who already enrolled chose the plan that they believed was best for them.

CMS has laid the perfect trap: Sign up at healthcare.gov one time in your life and we will never let you go. If you don’t continually re-enroll each and every year, CMS will keep you on the plan that it chooses because, after all, CMS knows what’s best and they always make the best decision. . . .

“It will be kind of difficult to get people to pay the bill for something they didn’t sign up for...”

Hence the 16000 additional IRS agents.

And McConnell and Boehner support this outragious taxation !

Yes, of course -- the Chamber of Commerce bag men told them to. Really big businesses want out from under employee healthcare plans big time, and have been fighting for a dozen years to get out from under their old promises, using some kind of Government intervention.

The delivery of Obamacare was guaranteed by the deal both parties made, though intermediaries in a locked room (just like the corrupt brokering of the Tilden-Hayes election in 1876, one of the most notorious corruptions in American history), in 2008. The representatives, btw, we're both women: One from Harvard University, representing the Democrats, and one from the American Enterprise Institute (remember that name: I think Obamacare is one of the reasons AEI was founded, to make transformational changes in American life that benefit Big Business).

The American Revolution was fought for less than this !!

You sure got that right!

Thanks for the input——if private business tried these schemes, the Holder/Obama extortionists would be on them in a nanosecond.

The O/Care con artists are on a crime spree to work the dismal numbers——lots more tricks up their sleeves.

I feel nothing but pity for the enrollees who got conned into this scheme.
