Prominent French journalist Eric Zemmour was back in the spotlight Saturday after being barred by a news channel for saying Muslims were elbowing French people out of the suburbs, AFP reports.
The iTELE channel said late Friday that Zemmour would not be invited back to a chat show he has been appearing in since 2003 following an outcry over his latest remarks.
Zemmour, who recently published a best-seller titled "The French Suicide," is no stranger to polemics and has been convicted of inciting racial hatred.
The latest controversy erupted after he gave an interview to Italy's Corriere della Sera newspaper in which he said "Muslims kept to themselves in the suburbs" and the "French were forced to move out."
Zemmour is a well-known media commentator and columnist for Le Figaro newspaper who prides himself on his outspoken defiance of what he deems politically correct, wishy-washy liberals.
Zemmour's parents are Jewish Berbers who emigrated from Algeria in the 1950s.
France is home to five million Muslims, the largest population in Europe. It also has the largest Jewish diaspora on the continent.
The SNJ journalists union hailed the "strong decision" taken by the television channel, a position taken by SOS Racisme, an anti-racism watchdog.

Zemmour, leave France. Urge all other French Jews still in France to leave with you. The Muslims and the French deserve each other. Shed a tear for the Mona Lisa, whom the Muslims will destroy for failing to wear a Burka and smiling in public. Shed a tear for good wine, bad poems, pretentious intellectuals and movies that aren't made for the sake of money. And then pack your bags and make Aliya.
Oops, he should have said Christians instead of Muslims. He would have won numerous awards and been promoted.
His book is “French Suicide”, I’ll bet he saw the title of Pat Buchanan’s book “Suicide of a superpower” and that the concept of the book is similar as well.
Especially after a convoluted, incomprehensible explanation of why Christians are all really evil and only pretending to be normal, everyday citizens, and Muslims are just reacting to their oppression.

The demand of Muslims to resist integration into their host country is clearly an example of racial hatred, that is, a race that displays hatred. Though technically, Muslims are not a “race”, but an ideology, indistinguishable in many ways from the National Socialism that enjoyed great popularity only about 80 years ago. Yet people had no trouble whatsoever in developing a powerful reaction to the Nazis of the time, crushing their movement literally into the ground, and if that surge of energy had not been fueled by outright hatred, it would have had no propelling power at all.
“Rules of engagement” are set by the side with the fewest inhibitions and the greater firepower.
I’ll give credit to DeGaulle and the Resistance (although it was chock full of Commies) for fighting back.

DeGaule refused to let the commies use him. Great book, Is Paris Burning? by I forget who, gives the account of all the politics and maneuvering that went into the liberation of Paris. He used them instead. If commies want to be cannon fodder, send them where the fighting is thickest and then write ballads about them, none mentioning that they were commies.
Read it, and saw the movie.
