SAN FRANCISCO (CN) - Suspended California state Sen. Leland Yee could face a jury as early as June for charges of political corruption and conspiracy to import guns.

At a scheduling conference on Thursday, U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer said Yee will be tried along with his political consultant Keith Jackson, who also faces drug and murder-for-hire charges. Breyer said those charges will be tried separately, but lawyers for the defendants, including Yee's lawyer James Lassart, were not satisfied.

"The firearms charges are going to be extremely prejudicial. The government has acquired 50 to 70 different firearms that, undoubtedly to some degree, there is going to be an attempt to introduce those," Lassart said. "It's the kind of thing that does not cancel from someone's mind if they're sitting in the courtroom."

My guess he will “skate” since he is a demodummie and Holder and Odumbo certainly want to protect their own. Even if he does get convicted, odumbo would pardon him anyway.

.....Sen Yee's lawyer asserted "The firearms charges are going to be extremely prejudicial. "It's the kind of thing that does not cancel from someone's mind if they're sitting in the courtroom"......

Mmmmmm.....you'd think the stupid, corrupt state Senator would have thought about that when the Dummycrat decided gun-running to US enemies could subsidize his aspirations for higher office.

Yee is an all-around practiced con man who would do aything for a buck: Yee, "Shrimp Boy" Chow and 27 co-defendants are also charged w/ several counts of racketeering.

Democrat Yee who represented parts of San Francisco and San Mateo County, and his consultant, Keith Jackson---a former San Francisco school board president, are charged w/ soliciting bribes and campaign contributions in exchange for political favors by the corrupt Sen Yee......who planned to run for Secy of State.
