Oil prices are surging.
The price of West Texas Intermediate crude oil on Tuesday rose to $58.98 from $54.20. Brent crude rose to $63.50 from about $58.70.
At this point, there seems to be no obvious explanation for the move.
On Tuesday, oil prices tumbled to five-year lows. WTI touched $53.60 and Brent sank to $59.86, both were the lowest levels since May 2009.

I wrote that before seeing that thackney, one of the most knowledgeable and respected Freepers there is regarding domestic energy production, said virtually the same thing...
I am sorry, dude, but I am not going to be your next target as you spew forth a bunch of Keynesian Economics and Central-planning jibberish.
$1.999 in Arlington!
You’re wrong on all counts, ‘dude’.
Stick with Thacknuts and see how far you get, ‘dude’.
Again with the personal insults, name calling this time.
Sad to see it here on Free Republic.
Sensitive are we? When it was said you were thick, it wasn’t in reference to your skin was it?
Intellectually-honest and intellectually-dishonest debate tactics

You’re not qualified to lecture anyone let alone me.
Those words are not mine, just debate tactics that many recognize as effective. They have been posted here on FR before.
It is not important for everyone on the forum to be in agreement. It would be a rather boring place if that was the case.
I come here to share information with folks that may take that knowledge with them into the voting booth. They certainly won’t all agree with me, or share my priorities. But I try to help those that are interested to make informed decisions that effect the US energy industries.
If you come here just to argue and belittle others, good luck to you.

Anybody can go linking about the internet and find those things. It is not for you to lecture anyone about them let alone me. You are not qualified to lecture anyone.
I filled my tank Tuesday with $2.82 diesel
You might try reading them.
Have a great day!
Oh, so it’s YOUR FAULT!.................;^)
Take your kookery and your false well wishes to someone else, not me.
Anyone can post headlines from news about oil. You’re just not qualified to be the messenger because your commentary is shallow and flawed; it doesn’t cut the mustard.
It’s like this. When someone speaks a language fluently and they see someone else who is not fluent try to pass themselves off as fluent, it is obvious to the fluent person that the unfluent person is a charlatan.
When it comes to the oil trade, its economics, the geo-politics of oil, you’re not major league material. You don’t make the grade. The problem is you don’t realize that.
Regardless of your repeated attempts to change the topic, it isn't about me.

I agree. I suspect most the readers of our posts agree as well.

You are welcome to your opinion. But you may want to realize Free Republic general doesn't support repeated posts making personal attacks.
Cheers!
There are no ‘personal attacks’ in my posts. I said you don’t make the grade, that is an observation of fact, not a personal attack. But it is revealing and completely predictable that you would consider observations of fact as ‘personal attacks’. Because that is the problem right there, you don’t learn.
Drill elsewhere.
You are at least consistently entertaining.
Cheers!

I know I've been "entertained".
Does anyone else remember the "good old days' of FreeRepublic when vitriol was the exception and not the rule?
