I hope you’re right about Julian. We don’t need La Raza’s answer to Obama.
Sorry, but I don’t want the government telling me what I can put into my body. Nor do I want it telling me where I can and cannot go.
Cuba represents a threat to the US? How exactly? Its a crumbling regime run by a dying despot. Communism is dying, and Cuba is one of the final holdouts.
China is technically communist too. Pick up a random object in your house. Look and see where it was made.
And if you think we’re going to win the war on drugs, then i’d like a little of what you’re smoking (pun intended :) )
Normalized relations with communist countries have turned us into the mess we are today. Got any more pro-communist sentiments to share?
That's a different issue. Cuba no longer poses a threat to us. Iran most assuredly does.
NO when the Cubans selling their 1957 Chevys on E-bay that what I wondering LOL!
No, that does not happen. Red China is still Red China, Red Vietnam is still Red Vietnam, and Russia has proven that communism did not fall. The USA is the one that has changed to become more like they are.
The embargo is pretty much a joke since we're the only ones who enforce it. Cuba gets tourists and trade from most of the rest of the world.
“Umm, doesnt the Senate have to approve normalization of diplomatic relations?”
Silly Conservative...
That was the Old America.
This is the new Amerikka, where the God-King, the Messiah of the Gay-Run Media is the Decider, and you are a rassiss that hates the idea of a black President if you dare oppose him.
That Constitution thingy is just an outdated, racist piece of paper anyway, right??
Communism is dying? Have you looked at Washington DC lately?
Thank you LOL!
Ahhhh....Who remembers the che guevara obama shirts and flags from The Campaign???
Mission Accomplished Today ! ! ! !
Change = Defined Today . . .
I want one of Gullwing Mercedes Benz SLs that are there.
And a Cohiba.
What about the properties of US businesses and Cubans that were confiscated and “nationalized”?
FL ‘16: No idea.
Cuba and Iran are allies. This is like normalizing relations with Iran.
Normalize on the following conditions.
Cuba pays back with interest the worth of all US properties illegally stolen.
Communist Party relinquishes Power.
Other than that, no deal.
Another red herring, high on rhetoric, low on facts. It's true that China remains brutal and authoritarian, but it is "Communist" in party name only. Under Mao, there were no privately owned businesses of any kind, not even mom and pop shops. Today, China's private sector accounts for far more of its GDP than its public sector. And when it comes to social services, China is probably more capitalist than we are: if you're sick in China and can't pay up front, guess what? You're not going to the hospital. More people get government subsidized welfare and health care in the US (and certainly in Europe) than in "Red" China.
And how would you expect that to happen under our own supreme leader?
LOL, so unreasonable? Hell, that will be perfect for Obama.
Just jesting, but it’s true none the less.
More and more, I am guessing hat this despot is planning somehow to extend his dictatorship under the guise of an national emergency.
Khrushchev is laughing his ass off in hell right now.
What does this do for the wet foot/dry foot policy?
Mixed emotions about this.
The Embargo has been ineffective, to say the least. Billions in US Dollars find their way to Cuba each year despite it.
MARK MY WORDS...
The Media will massively downplay the first American Journalist murdered in Cuba, when he finds the first of the mass graves, or dares to report what Cuba’s “Free” healthcare really looks like.
That said, there is OIL in them thar’ waters...
