A part-time CUNY professor faces a slate of charges accusing him of sparking a violent run-in with police during Saturday's protest demonstration on the Brooklyn Bridge.
Eric Linsker, 29, was allegedly spotted by police carrying a large garbage can on walkway of the bridge above the traffic lanes during the protests against the police killings of unarmed black men. Protesters had been tossing debris at police on the bridge's lower level at the time, police said.
Police Lt. Philip Chan ordered Linkser to put down the trash can and attempted to arrest him, according to court records. A small group of protesters then grabbed and pushed Chan and Linsker escaped, the records state.
A person wearing a mask struck Chan in the face and broke his nose, according to the records.
When Linsker fled, he dropped his backpack. Inside, police found two recently-purchased hammers, Linsker's CUNY identification card, his passport, a metrocard, debit card and a pill bottle containing marijuana, the court records state.
Police arrested Linsker at 3:45 a.m. Sunday.

He looks like an ***hole to me.
What does this moron teach: ‘Rioting 101’? A professor at 29? Jeez, CUNY is scraping the bottom of the barrel.
I agree..
Love the ankle chains.
1. The irony of it all. These protests run amuck in areas with a lot of holiday attendance and blocking major transportation to and from cities. This will cut back revenues cities collect and redirect what could be better community policing from the residents to the protests.
2. Look at Australia. Look at Belgium. What happens when (not if) those people with a terrorist agenda join in and take advantage of this permitted chaos?
An adjunct professor teaches usually part time, and has no tenure.
Since modern poetry is generally formless and dense, and requires no talent, teachers of poetry require not much more than simply a pose. It means that this guy can easily be replaced. That is the good news.
The bad news is that he will probably be replaced with another such.
Well then why didn't police shoot them? I certainly would have if my life was threatened.
See a guy like that needs to have his ass kicked, then tarred and feathered by the citizens and run out of town on a rail because what’s going to happen is he’ll be thrown in front of a leftist judge who will kiss his ass and he’ll be back on the street in no time.
Bottom line is this useless eater poetry “professor” is sponging off the taxpayers. This is how the right is forced to fund the left. How normal, centrist, heterosexual, taxpaying Americans are forced to fund the left
This is a wealth transfer
