Nearly $40 Million In FEMA Sandy Aid Possibly 'Improper or Fraudulent' BY JOEL SEIDMAN
Almost $40 million of the aid provided by FEMA to Hurricane Sandy may have been "improper or fraudulent," but that figure represents a huge improvement over the percentage of FEMA aid deemed questionable after Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita, according to a watchdog report released Friday.

Only $40 million?
Debbie Stabenow managed to get some of that money for “storm damage” on the great lakes.
I remember checking and seeing that there weren’t even any restrictions on crossing the Mackinaw bridge on that day.
Yes, change that “m” to a “b” and I’m on board.
“Only $40 million?”
I share your scepticism.
I live in the Katrina zone. Douchebags milked it for years
NOT “unexpected”.
FEMA hush money. True.
“a huge improvement over the percentage of FEMA aid deemed questionable after Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita”
Well THERE is the key phrase! This is GOOD news! Taxpayers were still robbed blind and nothing has been learned from previous FEMA snafu’s but no worries, it’s all good! Is the glass half empty or half full? Come ON people! See the lib spin and par-TAY!
The article says “aid provided by FEMA to Hurricane Sandy.” Did someone change their name to “Hurricane Sandy” and get $40 million by fraud?
Check out Christie the Cowboys fan. How much did he get?
What a shocker.......again!
When I was trying to close on the farm I now have, the dopey Flood Cert people forced me to get flood insurance just to close even though none of the structures were in or even close to the boundary of the 100 year flood plane.
I had to pay a surveyor to prove otherwise, and it was so nice getting that money back. Screw FEMA.
One of my favorite lines from “Operation Petticoat”.....
“In confusion, there is profit.”
State workers in CT turned Sandy aid into a gravy train. And when they got caught governor Dannel Malloy gave them a slap on the wrist and refused to name them.
So my flood insurance doubled because people are cheating?
