You cannot judge the actions of soldiers engaged in combat in the same way you judge normal human actions. In real combat all participants are a little bit crazy...how could it be otherwise?
You want warriors whose sole aim is to destroy the enemy at all costs...they can’t function well if they are constantly worried their actions will be judges as if they were “back in the world”.

Wow, the left proves once again they are our moral superiors. No doubt they’ll need to remind us again (forgetful devils, aren’t we?) somewhere down the road with a new directive that requires soldiers to wring their hands and mewl submissively whenever in the presence of terrorists, so as not to torture the gentlemen with their insensitive behavior.
