In old America, anywhere you could be in public legally, you could take a photo. Not with these damned dictators.

Suffolk County has the absolute worst police department on Long Island. They have over 30 unsolved murders of young women there. Instead of pursuing a serial killer, they are out arresting photographer/moms.

As I told the guy at the gun stand at the Bass pro shops today, there is no such thing as an “assault” rifle. Time to stop using the left’s a$$ hat name game.

Sure there is. Used by all militaries and wildly popular with insurgent and terrorist groups. Been around since WWII.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assault_rifle

The term you're thinking of is "assault weapon," which has no definite meaning and so can be said to not really exist.

Correct terminology is important when you’re loading your clip with bullets and putting it into your revolver.

This dictatorship started many years ago. It is just being really felt as your freedom erodes day by day by the communists Democrats.

Again, a lib misnomer to imply some rifles are worse than others, therefore they must be banned. If you get hit by a 00 buck shot from a single shot shotgun, I doubt that you’d be less “assaulted” than if hit by a 7.62X39 from an AK47. Ditto, for being caressed by a single .308 bullet from 6-700 yards. The left coin that term in order to ban all semi autos as a first step to a complete gun ban.

Quick glance appears to show a shotgun and an AR.

Boo hoo...

Oh, and BTW, that’s what I used to train with in the mid 70’s as a soldier in one of the Soviet Block country’s version of the Red Army. That and a WWII 5 in. howitzer. No one called the AK47 an assault rifle. It was common knowledge at the time, even in the communist countries that you didn’t sweep floors with rifles or stir the soup with them, etc.

In a strict definition, a firearm must have at least the following characteristics to be considered an assault rifle:[11][12][13]
It must be an individual weapon
It must be capable of selective fire
It must have an intermediate-power cartridge: more power than a pistol but less than a standard rifle or battle rifle
Its ammunition must be supplied from a detachable box magazine
And it should at least have an effective range of 300 metres (330 yards)

Encyclopedia Britannica?
Assault rifle, military firearm that is chambered for ammunition of reduced size or propellant charge and that has the capacity to switch between semiautomatic and fully automatic fire.

http://www.quarryhs.co.uk/Assault.htm
“A standard military rifle, capable of controlled, fully-automatic fire from the shoulder, with an effective range of at least 300 metres”.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/media-myths-on-assault-weapons-and-semiautomatic-firearms/article/2516156
As the United States Defense Department’s Defense Intelligence Agency book, Small Arms Identification and Operation Guide explains, “assault rifles” are “short, compact, selective-fire weapons that fire a cartridge intermediate in power between submachine gun and rifle cartridges.”[21]

According to most experts an “assault” rifle is strictly for military use and has to be able to fire fully automatically. The military style rifles sold in the US, whether the AR type or the AK’s are semiautos and don’t fit that category. Even though they have selective fire.
I still don’t agree with the notion that one rifle or any weapon should be called an “assault” one just for the reason that all are made for the same purpose. It’s time to stop enabling the progs by adopting their language.
