Note this award was just for compensatory damages. The jury will now consider punitive damages.

The Mom in question; Nancy G. is certainly one who stays the course. This event happened way back in 2010, and she would not let it go. Good for you, Nancy!
To: Sealgair
Looks like she may have had 100’s of bullets too.

Recall the Albany sheriff deputy who slapped a guy, stole his keys, and illegally searched his vehicle?
Not a peep about that one since.

The article mentions only one rifle being found, but the photo shows two, in addition to a large quantity of ammo. I'm wondering if the photo is of the woman's weapons, or is a stock photo from some other story having nothing to do with the woman. To me, "armed to the teeth" does not apply to ONE rifle.
Also, you have to read deep into the article to discover that she was photographing a decorative helicopter to be posted to a pro-military website, whereas the initial impression is that she was some sort of armed terrorist photographing the base for some nefarious purpose.

Ouch! That’ll leave a mark.

I see only one rifle.

"Looks like she may have had 100s of bullets too."
Fairly unlikely. Bullets are those little thingies that are inert chunks of metal that don't do much of anything all by themselves. If you couple a bullet with a shellcase, propellant powder and a primer, you have an assembly called a cartridge. Multiple cartridges are known as ammunition.
Bullets are to cartridges as flour is to bread, as cement is to concrete, etc.
Words have meanings.

Excellent outcome. Not really. You and I get to pick up the tab, while the jack-booted thugs who perpetrated this aren't touched.

I guess it could be called progress where a Genovese could be arrested NOT because she was a Genovese but because she was a Conservative.
Progress....yea right
If ‘PROgress’ is moving forward,
how would you define
‘CONgress’?

I don’t live in Suffolk county. It’s not my tab. But you are right. The perps should lose their cushy jobs and plush pensions.

“Words have meanings.”
You are correct. However, ‘bullet’ has become an accepted term for cartridges when one is not required to be technically correct.
To: TexasGator
True. No need to be precise here, everyone knew exactly what was meant.

Same corrupt group that handled the Tankleff fiasco which took years to disprove. Apparently they couldn’t care less whose lives are ruined.
