He called a constitutional point of order on section L of the Cromnibus, which fund the president's actions on Amnesty.
good.
Is this on C-span?
Go for it, Ted!
Bttt waiting to hear some deets.
Is there a signed EO for Amnesty ? If not how can you fund it ?
any news?
This seems likely to be overridden, I’ve been watching this, The passion is lacking with CRUZ, maybe he knows it’s a done deal-Cramnibus.
He put McConnell and Boners feet to the FIRE though, quoting Reagan-TRUST BUT VERIFY!
bkmk
No EO was signed. It was done by Presidential Memorandum.
Yes, it was on Caplan. The point of order was referred, whatever that means.
It’s adorable that he think the Constitution matters.
Yeah Fauxcahontas is talking. ..about Citi group connections.
mmm go fauxy go
lol
But, but, but constitutional scholar Obola knows this
.so maybe, perhaps and perchance, Amnesty was all show, no go from the beginning
..
Don’t buy this “it wasn’t a signed order” nonsense. Whatever it’s called, it’s a directive from the chief executive, creating or adjusting policy which he is not empowered to do.
POINT OF ORDER (WIKI)
In the United States Senate, the chair’s ruling may be appealed by any Senator. The Senate votes on the appeal and the chair has been frequently overturned. Points of order with regard to the Budget Act or annual budget resolution may be waived by 3/5 of the Senate’s entire membership. Rule XVI, which prohibits normal legislation in appropriations legislation, may be waived by 2/3 of the Senate.[3]
Can’t be a Quorum, can there, most of these bums have gone off to the BARS or wherever, by now.
Thanks for keeping us posted.
Its funny to hear Warren go on and on about how evil rich people are when she herself lives in a 8 million dollar house..or Teepee whatever she wants to call it
