Speaker John Boehner's top aide for more than two decades, Dave Schnittger, has announced he is leaving Boehner's office and walking through Washington's revolving door to become a lobbyist at powerhouse Squire Patton Boggs--a move that will give Schnittger maximum leverage for the next two years of Boehner's speakership.
"We always say that 'no one ever really leaves Boehnerland' and I'm particularly happy that Dave--the unofficial 'Dean of Boehnerland'--isn't going too far," said Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) in a statement to Politico. Boehner credited Schnittger as being the "beating heart" of Boehner's political apparatus.
Schnittger, or "Schnit" as Beltway insiders refer to him, is Boehner's longest-serving aide.
"Squire Patton Boggs is getting someone with direct access to the Ohio Republican," reports Politico.
In 2013, Squire Patton Boggs bagged $40.2 million in lobbying fees.

“Boehnerland”? Puke~O~rama!
There is A Land With No Balls?
And other than the fact that Obama seems like a Raging Bull of Testosterone compared to Boehner, what is the difference between Boehnerland and Obamaland?
Seriously? What a friggin egotistical thing to say. Just goes to show you how insulated DC is when you have a leader think he can say something like this and doesn't see a problem with it at all.
“Schnit”
All in all, I’d drop the “n”.
Boehnerland. Now we know what he calls the U.S. when he’s planning more corruption with his pals.
Actually this points out a problem nearly as big as congress itself.
Staffers.
You say the word and most people imagine these young pages fresh out of college but nothing could be further from the truth. The reality is that most staffers are in house lobbyists who have left long careers in the industries they represent.
John McCain’s former chief of staff went directly from McCain’s office to VP of Boeing and is now back in DC acting as GOP chief of staff for republican armed services committee staff.
In contrast was Allen West. Every one of his small staff were former low level Veterans Administration employees.
Boehner and all Republicans will be under tough scrutiny now that they have a chance to prove they understand the message of "the People" who are their bosses under our Constitution.
If they want a shot at 2016, then the kind of good old boy politics of the past, the wheeling and dealing and ignoring their duty of fidelity to the Constitution, and a lack of commitment to honoring that Constitution's underlying principles--these practices must stop.
Boehnerland is where traitors hang out.
The real culprit here in all of this is the House Republicans. Boehner is who he is. He’s a RINO sellout looking to cut deals and keeping his corporate donors fed and satisfied. The House Republicans, by and large voted for this horrible omnibus bill. If they all truly felt that spending was the problem they should have mutinied against the speaker but it didn’t happen, did it? The reality is we have far more RINOS in congress than we care to admit. It’s not just the leadership.
As Trent Lott said when he resigned his senate seat: “Time to make so real money”.
Interestingly, Thomas Hale Boggs, Jr. (the “Boggs” in the name of that lobbying firm) was the son of two Congressional Democrats, the brother of left-leaning TV news personality Cokie Roberts, and himself ran for Congress (unsuccessfully) as a Democrat in Maryland in 1970. I’m sure Boehner staffers will feel right at home there.
Tar, feather, repeat.
Sounds like that road out by the airport where all the strip clubs are
It’s “Boner Land” and everyone with a brain wants out.
That’s why the ten counties surrounding DC are the wealthiest counties in America.
