The House narrowly approved a sweeping spending bill Thursday night despite deep misgivings among liberals and conservatives alike, sending the measure to the Senate as lawmakers averted a partial government shutdown.
The bill passed on a 219-206 vote, following an intense lobbying effort by House Republican leaders and the White House.

dreadful
What else was given away?
What else was given away?
... It really does appear that both sides are being played like a fiddle. Heck .... The dialogue being spewed out by the main Democrat players reads like a cheesy crappy political soap opera.
... watch Warren take the forefront in this stupid melodramatic event.
I could just puke.
Look up their sponsors and boycott for a years.
*bangs head against wall*
boycott sponsors, and use all other legal means to make their lives somewhere well to the south of hades. Or better yet, for those that have children, wreck the kids’ lives.
If nothing else, doing so just might nip a few Kennedy-esque political dynasties in the bud.
But then I’m not very squeamish about methodology.
Is Boner drunk?
We got rolled (again) but I don’t think it has anything to do with Warren. It has to do with the fact that these are all politicians and with very few exceptions, they care more about keeping their position and power than ideology. And the vast majority are wimps when it comes to standing up against their own leaders.
And of course, they are smarter than we are, and thus can see the complex inner workings of gummint and why it would have been bad to vote this bill down. They think we’re as stupid as Gruber does, they’re just smart enough not to come right out and say it.
John Boehner is now the head of the Democrats.
GOP voters get hoodwinked again, con-job #90,842

I’m convinced that they’re going to try to ram Jeb Bush through via sheer force. Lots and lots of money.
Doesn’t really matter. We’re headed for economic collapse no matter what the Parliment of Whores-Den of Thieves does anyway.
Put cash in your best hiding place and plenty of canned goods in your pantry.
I hope Boehner drinks himself to death. His grandchildren will hate him for what he has done.
Normally I would respond by asking if the Pope is Catholic? However, with the present Pope, I think that is debatable.
funny how that works —
Yeah, every time.
So much for GOPE to the rescue.
Does this mean the House will close down until October?
Looks like they have nothing else to do. The damage is done.
