Sens Jeff Sessions (R-AL) said, So I have a message today to every leader in Congress, to every official in the White House, and to President Obama: we are going to fight this illegal amnesty and we are not going to stop. We are going to carry out the mission the voters sent us here to do. We are not going to give in. We are not going to yield. We are going to stand strong for the American people.

This is about illegal amnesty, but that’s no longer the important part.
This is about an inroad to being forged for this or some future tyrant. THAT is not just rhetoric. This particular definition of presidential discretion is the end of the legislature’s reason for being and their being consigned the role of idea machine from which the executive picks and chooses what he wishes to enforce.
This is about the manipulation of the people, about the abject groveling of Congress to the Executive
It’s about the wholesale redefinition of our government.
The illegals must be stopped. But, this idea that the president can do as he chooses is not the government we were bequeathed. It is the road to tyranny.
Sen. Sessions is a true patriot. God bless him.
Just so some people on here keep it straight, don’t confuse Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala) with Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX)!
HOORAY Jeff Sessions. Thank you, sir.
Sessions is a fighter and a patriot. How I wish we had 66 more like him.
You are absolutely right!
Sessions and Vitter standing up for the American people.
Wonder if my Sen Ted Cruz was there....or, Sen Lee....or Sen Paul....
Sen Sessions, God bless him, seems to be a (almost) Lone Wolf crying on the hill.
I Stand with Sen Sessions.
Double-Ditto.
Maybe we should make some noise about a Constitutional convention to abolish Congress if they refuse to do their jobs. What’s the point of their being there if they’re not going to do the checks and balances they were put there to do?
Maybe that’s what the critters who are not willing to fight need to hear from us. Sure, they won’t believe it can ever happen, but it would at least be a way for us to express how incensed we are at the rule of law being abandoned for political whack-a-mole instead.
Jeff Sessions needs to call for the funding bill to read from the well of the Senate.
House Representatives need to call for reading of the bill from the house floor.
I like Jeff Sessions, Issa, Gowdy but until they start demanding the laws of the land be followed, not to be snarky but it’s all huffing and puffing.
With a wink and a nod they are all participants in the kabuki theater to sucker the American People.
Sessions never never ever participated in the fiasco. Go back and look. He has always been a vocal force for the people.
...it took the GOP THREE WEEKS to reveal what they’re going to do with their new powers in Congress.
They’re going to aid the President.
Thank God we all voted in Nov, eh? :)
All he needs to do is demand it be read when it arrives in the Senate. This bill must be stopped or it funds illegal immigrants through 2015 along with ACA.
They were going to overturn Obamacare, remember? Not if this bill is passed.
I love Jeff!

Bears repeating!
And pinging out to all y’all!
Research question:
Is this the first time this “discretion without an E.O.” ploy has been used?
“First remove Nancy Boehner and Harry McConnell”
Amen, hallelujah, and pass the biscuits.
Said the soldier to the General who was looking for recruits....
If the People don't realize that they are all the Army that the good guys need, we will continue to coast downhill as we hope and expect the few politicians who are really with us to fight all the battles.
Put up or shut up , Jeff.
Whereas Ted Cruz will clobber an opponent by rhetorical knock out, Jeff is so polite that they stand there with a stupid look on their face not even realizing they have been eviscerated.
I'm thinking the soccer mom set who would be turned off by Cruz's direct style will love Session's polite style.
