An electrical engineer from upstate New York has been fined $5,000 and sentenced to 180 hours of community service for accusing his boss of spying for another country. [
]
Prosecutors say the 39-year-old (Ryan Lechter of Endicott) wrote an anonymous letter to the Defense Security Service in March 2012 accusing his boss at BAE Systems, a defense contractor, of being foreign intelligence, which they say means spying.

No, but the Letcher seems to be:
‘According to authorities, Letcher said he sent the letter because of conflict with the supervisor over taking credit for his work.’

I’ve accused bosses of having no intelligence, but I guess that’s a different matter altogether.

“Ryan Lechter of Endicott wrote an anonymous letter”
Apparently not so anonymous.

Not a foreign spy or government agent, just a participant in the Gay Rodeo, whatever Rusty Shakleford says to the contrary.

IMO it's completely reasonable to assume that *every* person of Chinese decent in this country is a Chinese spy.They're either willing,enthusiastic spies (the true believers) or reluctant spies (a call from the Chinese Embassy:"we know where your grandmother lives in Harbin").
Same goes for Russians.

I think he filed a false report and that is this fine, not that he filed a report he thought was accurate.
Filing a false criminal complaint is a felony, and doing so to the DSS is a federal offense at that.
