Nine males were accused of being part of a heinous rape. The alleged injustice fomented a mob mentality. An enraged community wanted to skip any talk of a serious investigation, never mind a trial, and go straight to the punishment.

I’m not talking about the now-discredited allegations against fraternity members at the University of Virginia, but of the legendary case of the Scottsboro Boys, nine African-American teenagers falsely accused of rape in Alabama in 1931. Despite testimony from one of the women that she had made up the whole thing, the Scottsboro Boys were convicted in trial after trial. All served time in either jail or prison.

One of the major political parties, Labour, is advocating if it returns to power it will eliminate the presumption of innocence of defendants charged with rape. This will overturn centuries of Common Law tradition in the Anglosphere. Besides overturning Common Law what these Feminazis want would be in violation of the following: Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, French Declaration of the Rights of Man, and even the Constituion of South Africa. I do not feel in this case invoking the Nazis violates Godwin's Law.

Wrongly accused? They confessed and were convicted! The victims’ blood, hair, and DNA was all over them.

The Central Park Five's convicrions were vacated (after they had served heir sentences in full) when another man, already in prison for other heinous crimes, confessed he had committed the rape all alone.

The persuasive physical evidence against the five teens had apparently been misinterpreted. The physical evidence --- according to this account --- better fit the details provided by the man who ultimately confessed.

The CP 5 didn’t accidentally get the victim’s blood and hair on themselves. They didn’t confess without prompting to a crime they had no knowledge of. Reyes didn’t rape her and hold her down with multiple pairs of hands, while he was acting alone.

Just because DNA shows now that Reyes also raped the victim, does not mean that the CP 5 suddenly became innocent.

Well, you've got forensic pathologists contradicting each other, and accused assailants --- in their confessons --- also contradicting each other. The physical evidence was disputed: for instance, there was no DNA linking the accused 5 teenagers to that attack, and the hairs found on them which were thought to be the victim's, were later proven by DNA analysis not to be hers.

From what I read, there were a number of assaults in Central Park on that same night, with gangs of black teens going around "wilding." Maybe the Central Park Five were guilty of an assault, or assaults, but just not that assault.

In any case, their conviction was vacated when the actual assailant confessed years later --- and he was the only one DNA-linked to the victim.
