WASHINGTON The government watchdog group Judicial Watch has struck again, discovering Lois Lerner, former IRS tax-exempt division chief, had discussed possible criminal prosecution of conservative groups with Justice Department officials two years before what the agency had conceded.
Lerner met with Department of Justice officials in October 2010, just before the November midterm elections. Amid the rise of the tea-party groups targeted by Lerner, Republicans in the 2010 elections gained the most seats in the House since 1948.

Sigh followed by a yawn. Another BOMBSHELL revelation that will result in...............not a damn thing happening. The ever affable lois will end up retired with a pension that'll be uh, somewhat better than mine and if push comes to shove, the lyin' king will grant a pardon to anybody involved that needs one. I guess some folks haven't come to the realization yet that nobody is gonna raise a finger against this administration out of fear of being forever being labeled racist. What a load of crap. Move story to page 10D of the dinopapers.

You’ve summed up the impact of this dud well. WND is just bluster, Congress is afraid of the IRS.

Least of all the lapdog GOP. All it cares about is finding ways to get rid of that pesky Tea Party and whatever residue of conservatives are left in the GOP.
You’re right, of course. Lerner will live happily ever after.

If a bombshell goes off in Washington and the MSM doesn’t report it, does it make a noise?

Can't do anything to anybody while Obama is in office, he would just pardon
or Pen a picture of a Phone for the prosecutor and have them audited. I do not
agree to this approach but in this Egocentric political era it just is.
We want it all now but it's not realistic to expect the rule of law to
cover this Admin until they are out. It's also custom to pardon law breakers
of previous administrations which was as recently as Nixon.
Lois will have to fall on her sword though to get that pardon, but if
there are no charges brought that she can admit to, she'll be stuck in the void
and pulling her hair out for the next two years. /Imo

Oh, not me! I knew what was coming the moment I read the headline.
It’s the dolts who keep saying “Smoking gun, smoking gun, we got ‘em now by gee-gosh!”
I hold out no hope for redress by civil means.
