NYPD Cops Shoot Synagogue Stabber Screaming: “I Want to Kill the Jew!”

At a time when angry progressives are denouncing the NYPD, this is an important reminder that the thin blue line is all that stands between ordinary people and murderous thugs filled with rage and hate who remain on the streets thanks to the aid given to them by progressives. I wouldn’t be surprised if this shooting leads to protesters holding a ‘die in’ at the synagogue while screaming “I can’t stab!”
Thank goodness for the NYPD. When you live in a place like Crown Heights, they’re all that stands between you and guys like Calvin Peters.
A deranged knife-wielding man heard screaming, I want to kill the Jew! stabbed a 22-year-old Israeli rabbinic student in the face at a Brooklyn synagogue before he was shot dead by responding police officers early Tuesday, officials and stunned witnesses said.
Cops repeatedly ordered the man, identified by police sources as Calvin Peters, 49, to put down the nine-inch blade he jammed into Levi Rosenblatt’s head, but he then picked it up again and charged the officers before he was shot in the stomach.
Peters has been arrested 19 times stretching back to 1982 in both New York and Nassau County, police sources said. Most of his arrests have been for drug possession, but he has also been arrested for arson and criminal possession of stolen property, the sources said.
“I will kill the Jew! I want to kill the Jew!” the witness heard the attacker yelling.
Peters lashed out at Rosenblatt in an apparently unprovoked attack, leaving the young man bleeding on the ground, begging for help.
“I went over to the floor, I saw the teenager on the floor, his hair was blood. He was saying ‘Save me,’ ” the witness said.
The whole side of his face is all stabbed up and is bloody and he was screaming for help,” Hamlech recalled.
“The police were screaming, Put down the knife, put down the knife,” he told The News. “The guy, he looks at the police he says ‘Are you cool?’ They said ‘Put down the knife!
Stay the f–k away from the knife right now, man, one cop screamed.
Drop the f—ing knife! Drop the f—ing knife! another cop can be heard screaming.
Seconds later, a single shot rang out.
That’s the NYPD doing its job. Because #AllLivesMatter.
UPDATE: It’s already starting. From Jeffrey “Chickens__t” Goldberg.
@JeffreyGoldberg NYPD could have used a ceiling broom with a long stick and tickle the guy to submission.

So the cop was screaming “I want to kill the Jew?” Sheesh, what passes for journalism these days is laughable.
How about “NYPD Cops Shoot Synagogue Stabber who was Screaming: I Want to Kill the Jew!
Perhaps the region's filth have gotten the message that it's business as usual in NYC.
Nope, not a “hate” crime. Nothing to see here. Move along.
Another piece of garbage thug off to meet his maker courtesy of the NYPD- love it. Prayers for the victim.
Poor guy will never realize his dream of killing jews but he came close at the end. Maybe Hitler in hell can give him a few pointers when they meet up.
Just like this guy.....
Well you never know, maybe the cop had a thing against Jews LOL!
ONLY because NYC disarms the populace and prevents self defense. In a sane environment a thug would stand a pretty good chance of getting shot by his intended victim, but not in liberal government worshiping NYC.
Hands up don’t shoot, I can’t breath, I want to kill the Jews.
Why did they shoot him? Why didn’t they try to understand the underlying meaning of what he was saying? Sure, he was screaming “I want to kill a Jew,” but if the cops were more culturally sensitive, they would have understood that he was simply expressing his frustration with decades of Israeli oppression of the poor Palestinian people. They should have reasoned with him . . . . .
“...the thin blue line is all that stands between ordinary people and murderous thugs...”
Actually, what stands between ordinary people and thugs is the firearm in ordinary peoples’ hands.
Police are incidental; if they get there in time, you’re good. If not... too bad for you. You’re a chalk line, and a statistic in the morgue.
Laws are supposed to be designed and written to respect ordinary peoples’ Constitutional rights - including the right to protect and defend themselves with a firearm.
Those folks were LUCKY the cops were there - nothing more.
Personally, I don’t hold much regard in trusting my life to luck.
I guess to him murdering six million of us was not enough.
I don’t see any reference to the race of the perp in this story. I assume, then, that he wasn’t one of “Holder’s people”, and that we won’t have to worry about “Reverend” Al and Jessie holding any protests in NYC.
Stuff like this has been happening in NYC since well before DeBlasio, Bloomberg or Giuliani were even born.
Police and city officials were unable to discern the would-be killer’s statement that he “wanted to kill Jews.” Why, he certainly couldn’t mean he wanted to kill Jews the officials said in a statement to the press. No hate crime here they said.
I never said it wasn't happening...just that it wasn't happening as often.
Your assumption is wrong, he could be Holder’s or Obama’s crazy uncle. Race is known, religion is thus far uncertain. There have been suggestions he may have been sympathetic to a certain religion which came out of Arabia and doesn’t much like Jews, but it’s rude to acknowledge that. Not sure how sympathetic Al would be. Plenty of stabbings of Jews in NYC, Yankel Rosenbaum was stabbed fatally in Al’s Crown Heights riots. If you stab a Jew and don’t kill him, I guess you lose some sympathy. Too many rules surround theses non hate killings.
