The mortal stabbing last month of a Linfield College student at a 7-Eleven near the McMinnville campus appears to be a random attack, and three officers were cleared in the fatal shooting of the assailant minutes later, the Yamhill County District Attorney's Office announced Monday.
Authorities released more than 170 pages of police reports detailing interviews from investigations into the Saturday, Nov. 15, stabbing of Parker Moore, 20, of Woodinville, Washington, and the officer-involved shooting of Joventino Bermudez-Arenas, 33, of McMinnville.
No motive has been determined for the stabbing of Moore, a Linfield College football player, by Bermudez-Arenas, a tree-farm worker.
"There is nothing that has come up to indicate why, out of the blue, Mr. Bermudez-Arenas would walk into a 7-Eleven and stab a person to death who was standing in the checkout line," said Yamhill County District Attorney Brad Berry, who spoke with the media during a news conference Monday in McMinnville.
Video footage from a McMinnville police car dashboard camera showing officers shooting Bermudez-Arenas was also released Monday. Berry said no other video footage would be released

It looks like Joventino Bermudez-Arenas had his hands up, but was walking towards the cops with a knife. Granted he just knifed someone earlier for no apparent reason.
He had his hands up, but then it appears he started to swing his right hand forward. I assume that is the hand he had the knife in. That is when the officer fired.
This is why I have a dash cam of my own...
what model, if you don’t mind...

Looks like the cop shot him while his hands are up, but if he just stabbed someone to death, I could care less.
the big dude ignored all police shouts to drop the weapon and get down and kept walking toward cops with weapons pointed at him
he was not “giving himself up”, he was acting insane or like he was on something, totally unpredictable and dangerous, murder weapon in his hand
BOOM x 15
I’m ready for one as well.
Facts don’t matter when cops kill minorities.
Good shoot. The officers gave him plenty of time to comply, especially after he
had just knifed a man to death and was probably still pumped on adrenaline
ready to kill a couple cops to top his nite.
Nobody seems to know why he killed the man in the store and what set him off.
Linfield? McMinnville? Yamhill?
Never heard of these. It would be helpful if you included the abbreviation for the state in your title, as some do.
