To: All; everyone
Before I get started I would like to say a quick hello to all the ladies and gentlemen on here for this is my first post on this site for I have been reading some of the posts from here for a while as a person who no longer considers himself a leftist anymore and is interested in the right of center viewpoint, alas that is another topic for another time. About me somewhat I am a 28 year old mixed(European heritage), mostly black male who works in the IT field and currently live in the nice state of New Hampshire.

First off, I want to give my condolences to the victim and the victim's family, for no human being regardless of who they are should suffer this fate and to the killer who did this regardless of the skin color, he can rot in hell for all I care. I also wanted to say to some of the posters on here that I mostly agree that this guy is a thug and needs to be dealt with ASAP, and I do wonder if people like Al Sharpton will get involved which we all know the answer to that, which is no. As a person of a certain skin color I have no idea about this culture that are in these places for I grew up in Great Britain some for my dad was in the US Navy, and lived on bases and mixed neighborhoods all of my life in Virginia and had some darker skinned friends and many friends plus mentors who were white, I rather be apart of the star trek universe than the ghetto culture for it is alien to me, plus I am a sci-fi guy.

There is a problem in these mostly black neighborhoods and the media, plus the administration can make excuses and cover it up but it is not helping anyone and the truth needs to come out about what goes on for the “Great Society” has been a failure and has been for sometime. It angers me also that not one of these leaders will not talk about the black on black killings and the abortion rate by planned parenthood who for some reason will not touch it, and they say black lives matter, utter bollocks I tell you. This case interested me because I know it will not get enough press I predict and she looks like a girl I dated a long time ago for most of my girlfriends where white, mixed or Hispanic and sad to say for people like me it could further reinforce stereotypes further, but as they say life is not fair, though I consider myself to be an individual and not a member of some black society, but an American society, I wish there was something I could do, but sorry I can't.

"...and sad to say for people like me it could further reinforce stereotypes further..."

Ahh. Here's hoping it doesn't further reinforce further any further stereotypes. These pesky things can be so darn inconvenient...

Hello, and welcome. Thank you for your post.

I will say this. My very first memory is of me holding on for dear life to the dress of a black woman who ended up raising me for awhile. The dress was 50s style, white, with little blue clusters of flowers. Her name was Savannah. She and my favorite aunt were standing to the left of our front door while the ‘woman in white’ was wheeled in to the living room. That woman, I came to learn later, was my mother. I didn’t recognize her, as she and my father had been in a bad car crash on ice, and I had forgotten who she was. I had to be a year and a half years old.

Over the course of my life, I have gone from knowing that woman to being assaulted by black students—something that changed my life forever (much later in life). The journey from color-blindness to complete tolerance to compassion to outright rejection of anything ghetto or gangsta (even though someone once gave me a ghetto chain, which I still have) started with that complete trust in Savannah, which aftermath has led to where I am now.

Frankly, I am done. That’s it. I wont go any farther for black rights or any other cause in such efforts. No amount of money or encouragement or work or charity will help anyone who simply doesn’t want to be helped. In fact, like alcoholics, such people will only drag you down with them. I won’t go.

I’ve never spoken of this on FR. There’s a lot in between, but those are different stories for another time.

Welcome to the family at FR. And to make it short, you have just ‘done it’, brother. Speaking the truth is indeed a strong act in our current lie infected society.
