Yea, my current (and soon to be former) Congressman Tom Petri has said the same thing. I can’t wait for him to be GONE — Jan. 1.
These SOBs never met a tax they didn’t like. As soon as we come up for air, these criminals have their foot on our heads.
Here in CA there is a Democrat super majority that passed a $1.20 a gallon tax on gas a few months back.
I think we already pay 80 cents on taxes, but when the other $1.20 hits I believe even the people of CA will hand Democrats their shorts.
SURE - LETS GIVE THEM MORE TAX MONEY TO SPEND ON ‘SHOVEL-READY’ PROJECTS
It’s not like they will waste it all with nothing to show for $18 Trillion in national debt
How about sunsetting the tax on transportation fuels.Instead of fueling the monster, known as the government.
FU Fast Eddie.
In 8 yrs. as Governor here, Fast Eddie never saw a tax he would not try to raise given the opportunity.
A perfect lesson for our kids in the manner in which political power, or the pursuit of it, corrupts people.
This latest windfall for Americans goes against, “Energy prices will necessarily HAVE to skyrocket.” BHO - 2008.
BHO certainly can have American Citizens saving their own money. That goes against his plan for “fundamental transformation.”
The gas tax here in PA where Ed Rendell lives is in the process of rising 28 cents a gallon. We got the first ten cents at the beginning of 2014.
I guess Mr. Rendell is seeing what our soon to be ex-Republican governor did in signing off on the tax hike.
Tom Corbett and the GOP run legislature made the wrong move in raising gas taxes but the voters weren’t too bothered by it.
The legislators won but Corbett lost because Penn State fans attribute the fallout of Sandusky including Joe Paterno’s fall as being the result of the grand jury investigation Corbett started.
Bastard. The state and federal gas tax should be eliminated. That would usher in an era of prosperity.
I’m at the point that if any politician even suggests a new tax I want them out of office. If that’s their only solution to a problem, they become the problem for me!!!
Politicians never ask, “WHY do we have the RIGHT to Tax the citizen”, they always ask: WHY NOT TAX THE CITIZEN.....
So tell me, Fast Eddie, what will happen when the price of oil goes back up-will the gas tax be reduced?
Never mind, I already know the answer.
They're counting on everyone to have short memories, and forget that a rise in fuel taxes was supposed to pay for infrastructure projects. This was supposed to be on top of all the other excise taxes we pay related to the purchase, use, and maintenance of our vehicles.
Relief to middle income people never lasts long.
Oh why not, my Michigan GOP governor Snyder wants to double our own state gas tax.......This SOB is turning out to be worse than Granholm was........
And when fuel prices increase again, the taxes will remain.
Rendell is just one jagoff, he can STFU.
