The IRS scandal is not much in the news these days, but it is not going away. The more Obamas minions stonewall this scandal, the more congressional Democrats discount the scandal, the more the leftist establishment media ignores this scandal, the more toxic it will be for the left. In late November we learned that 30,000 of Lois Lerners lost e-mails have been found, but these e-mails have not yet been converted into readable form.
The utter contempt the Obama administration shows toward the oversight powers of Congress, toward the millions of information technology-savvy Americans who grasp the lying and silly explanations provided by the administration, and toward federal judges who have ordered serious explanations for presumably destroyed e-mails is breathtaking and appalling.
Once the new Republican Congress convenes in a few weeks, its leaders would do well to create a joint committee on the IRS scandal, elevating it to the highest levels of congressional action and putting the mendacious IRS flacks covering for Obama in an even more desperate situation compounding lies already told to a House committee with new and flimsier lies told to a joint committee of House and Senate members.
Congressional Democrats on that committee who continue to parrot the transparent lies of IRS officials at some point become complicit in the cover-up of criminal misconduct not in the legal sense, exactly, but certainly in the political sense.
~snip~
The real threat, however, comes from the knowledge that an incoming Republican administration in two years will be able to really investigate the cover-up and open up all the files currently kept from Congress and the courts. ~snip~ Federal prosecutors can then seek indictments of officials who have obstructed congressional investigations or obstructed justice.

Its not going away but the COWARDLY Republicans are doing as little as they can to adjudicate it without ignoring it completely..
It’s not going away or doing or resulting in anything else either.
But getting and publicizing the evidence of wrongdoing is good in any event.
boehner and the boys do not want to make any waves cause they all be making money.
Wouldn't the title be more truthful if it stated:
The EXEMPT Issa and the EXEMPT Corrupt Cummings
were given awards for covering this up
-— delivered by the EXEMPT Boehner.
How very special.
Nothing would make me happier than to see that arrogant bastage, Koskinen, behind bars for a long time.
Bttt.
5.56mm
Boehner & McConnell are already acting like Democrats. Good luck.
Rat lawmakers and their media toadies will crank up the time and effort wasting angle. You can count on the GOP to fail to continually explain why this is so important to the attention disorder populace. As to the Rat lawmakers, they need to be reminded of the time, money, and effort wasted on the Valerie Plame non isse BS. The Benghazi scandal needs to be treated in the same manner.
It won't be long before an emboldened Left makes future threats simply disappear in the night.
They will move on from the Breitbarts and Hastings, and start disappearing ordinary citizen watchdog group leaders.

Lois Lerner will get the needle for her crimes against the Republic
Having watched almost every hearing broadcasted on the IRS scandal, I can say without a doubt your assessment is totally accurate.
I want to see Lerner rotting in prison along with any other lawbreakers involved in this criminal activity and the subsequent cover up.
There is no other federal government bureaucracy that uses and abuses their power to terrorize citizens to the same extent as the IRS.
Although there are quite a few that are trying their best to catch up.
Yes. The EPA is close behind.
“The Senate should put an immediate hold on all further nominations by Obama until he agrees to appoint special counsels to investigate Fast and Furious and the IRS. While it is unlikely that Democrats will support this measure, Republicans have more than enough votes to filibuster any future appointments by the White House. Considering that both scandals are of such a grievous nature not only to the victims, but to the rule of law, to do anything less would be a crime.”

Pretty sad that it takes a Canadian newspaper to lay out the steps needed to get to the heart of these scandals.
I’ve asked Mick Mulvaney, my Congressman, to pass along a message to Trey Gowdy to ask at the next hearing-why hasn’t the IRS filed charges against Al Sharpton for the 4.5 million dollars he owes in back taxes per the NYT article? I think having that question asked would not only cause people who haven’t been paying attention to take notice, but lead to some other interesting questions as well as inverse the backlash against the IRS and possibly the Dems including Obama.
