This week, United Nations representatives are meeting in Lima, Peru in hopes of crafting an agreement that will limit global greenhouse emissions and combat the (nonexistent) problem of rising worldwide temperatures.
This comes on the heels of the recent climate pact between the United States and China aimed to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
While these events may be cause for celebration amongst green activists and the Obama Administration, for the average American, they are just two more misspent efforts by a closed-minded political elite in a world with real, here-and-now problems.
In fact, the toothless climate accord between the world’s two largest CO2 emitters has been described as “a promise in a rented tuxedo” where China “crossed its coal-fired heart.” The United States gets the shaft and China the coal, another journalist lamented.
And yet Senate Democrats have unveiled new legislation, American Opportunity Carbon Fee Act, proposing an “economy wide” levy of $42 per ton of carbon emissions. The $2 trillion tax, cosponsored by Senators Sheldon Whitehouse of New Hampshire and Brian Schatz of Hawaii, would begin next year.
Voters and citizens all must tell Tom Steyer, the moneyed Left Foundations, taxpayer-inebriated scientists, green-energy cronies, Left politicians, and Crony Republicans that human-need philanthropy should replace the politics of pessimism and waste. It is time to end the futile climate crusade.

And raining some more. Storm gate is open, fronts comin’ thru.
Yawn. Just like it has been doing for centuries.
Every now and then we have a dry spell...and then it starts raining again.
Havent heard a peep from the hystericals. They shut up when Nature makes them look like fools.
But if we get a flood - which has happened before, and will again - they will undoubtedly scream “Extreme Weather! See! We told ya so! We’re all gonna diiiiiiieee....”
But it’s crap. And the world will go on, like they never existed....
Global warming is a LIE! It was invented by Planet Soros and the Al Goretards to cripple our economy. Notice how China laughs at this. Very telling.
A graph publ. in my local newspaper, accompanying an article by a local Univ. professor of physics (its source NASA’s Goddard Inst. for Space Studies), depicts a rather steadily rising GLOBAL Land-Ocean Temp Index over past 30 plus years. I do not know how to reconcile these apparently conflicting data sets, while viewing global warming-ism as largely driven by political ideology.
The university professor has immense peer pressure to support the big government position. Therefore his data has been biased or altered. Politics ruins everything and everyone it touches. If it was getting warmer, they would be making wine in Greenland.
Two thoughts here... How exactly will money cause climate change to cease? And, until all attendees at these annual climate conferences are required to travel by rickshaw, I’m not interested.
