GREENE, Iowa While school districts can be blamed for the pitiful preparation of meals, the skimpy portions are due solely to the federal regulations championed by First Lady Michelle Obama.
Many students are continuing to turn to Twitter to expose their disgusting school lunches, with many of them using the #ThanksMichelleObama hashtag.
One students meal consisted of a half-scoop of apple sauce, a quarter of an orange, a carton of low-fat milk and dogs vomit?

Mady Bixby, the student who posted the photo, tells EAGnews this lunch was served at North Butler High School in Greene, Iowa.
Others were equally as appetizing.

remove that hamburger bun, NOW!
Yummo!
Thats the cuban starvation diet michelle learned from castro. Next year the kids go on the north korean starvation diet where they get those small portions once a month instead of once a day.
ROTFLMAO!!!
We send Little Miss Perfect Thorne to school with a home-made lunch every day. Why? I worked in restaurants for many years and know what goes on in kitchens, especially institutional kitchens.
I hope the kids are learning the lesson abut government interference. The government is not your mama or daddy.
All this when the Mooch orders three lobsters for a single meal.
FYMO

Taking a similar approach, the French are also health conscience and bring in dietitians to assist in the planning of their menus. Yet the results are dramatically different. Mind Body Green writes: Menus are set up two months in advance by the cantine management staff, and then sent to a certified dietitian who makes small corrections. The dietitian might take out a small chocolate éclair and replace it with a kiwi for dessert if she thinks theres too much sugar that week. Or she may modify suggested menus by adding more or fewer carbohydrates, vegetables, fruits, or protein to keep the balance right. Almost all foods are prepared right in the kitchen; theyre not ready-made frozen. This means mashed potatoes, most desserts, salads, soups, and certainly the main dishes are prepared daily. Treats are included the occasional slice of tarte, a dollop of ice cream, a delicacy from the local pastry shop. Say what you like about the French, but they always get food right.
Couple of items on that first picture that I not only can’t readily identify, but not sure I would want to.
Ugh, that is so gross. I can’t believe there are people that pay to eat that.
Low fat milk (1% or 2%) is not milk, it is non-alcoholic beverage. KIds need 3.2% fat milk in order to absorb Calcium from milk. That’s the whole point of them drinking milk. If if it s not 3.2% fat, they should not drink low fat at all.
I wonder if hospital food is also palatable in France? Most hospital food here is not only rather disgusting and barely edible, it’s not even reasonably healthy. Just like school lunches - except that they are now moderately healthy, but still exceptionally unappetizing and unsatisfying. From what I’ve seen, these days even British schools serve decent lunches. Maybe due to the influence of guys like Jamie Oliver.
Sounds very gassy.
