Plain Talk: Giving up on a state headed to rock bottom (barf alert)
Madison.com ^ | 05 dec 2014 | Dave Zweifel

Steve Anderson and his wife Sally are planning to move to Minnesota.

They have spent nearly all their lives living and working in Wisconsin, participating in civic projects, volunteering their time for worthy causes, and extolling the virtues of the state whenever the opportunity arose.

But no more.

In the past few years they've watched a state known for its enlightened government and political vibrancy turn into what Steve believes is a state headed to rock bottom, which, then again, might actually be good because it's only when an addict reaches rock bottom that he finally realizes he has to change.

Notice that the article provides no evidence whatsoever that Wisconsin is headed to “rock bottom.” Unemployment has dropped significantly in the last couple of years and the state’s budget shows a surplus. These old cruds are just unhappy that Walker won re-election.

Good. Get them out. Move them to Vermont. Or Mauritania.

When the SHTF and it becomes a lot of work to stay warm in the winter, a LOT of the Entitlement Army will head south.

In the meantime:

Indiana House of Representatives 71R 29D
Indiana State Senate 40R 10D

--my knowledge of the Craptimes goes back to when Cedric Parker was the editor of some sort--he was a high school contemporary of my dad, a few years older.

A few years ago the garbage wrap told a tale of when he was a reporter , he and another one found a body floating in one of the Madison lakes and hid it under a pier or somesuch until the news could be in the Times rather than the competition---

"So we moved on to greener pastures. Biggest difference being, I did not get a feature story written about my move."

Exactly. This is an anecdotal story about two disgruntled old Leftists who are unhappy that they have a Republican governor. Notice that despite the claim that the state is headed to "rock bottom," no evidence is given that the Andersons suffered any personal setbacks of any kind, or that the state as a whole is trending poorly in factors such as unemployment or unfunded liabilities.

Interesting...

We left Minnesota because of the high taxes and the Democrats ramming new taxes through. And no one mentions the huge welfare state that is MN.

Born and raised in MN ---- kinda hard (not too hard though) to leave the state after living there 50+ years, but couldn't stand the lack of freedom.

We found Wyoming ---- never moving back to the socialist state of MN. I hope these "superior" liberals enjoy it there.

some of the comments afterward are hilarious

I never saw such a whining out-of-touch bunch in all my life. I was tempted to ask them how many moons their planet had.

“No mention about how Wisconsin has grown jobs and opportunities. Things like this aren’t important to Libtards.”

Even worse than not important. Moe like anti-important or counter important. Kinda like ebola. Ebola is important in a negative way. Liberals see opportunity as we see ebola.

Wealthy libs typically head to states with no death tax for retirement. That’s helping to screw up Florida.

The Minn limit is $1.2m this year.

enlightened government and political vibrancy

Nanny state and suppression of dissent.

Exactly. Minnesota’s loss is Wisconsin’s gain. It’s important to get one state in each region to act as a basin attractor for all the libtards in the area. Then make popcorn and watch the credit downgrades begin.

Some people are too stupid to be free. It really is that simple.

Liberals are pretty worried about the midwest stronghold with the loss of both Wisconsin and Michigan going RTW and pushing more and more pro business policies.

People need to have the facts and they need to have a conversation about them," he told me on a recent visit to Madison. "So much information out there isn't true, but you will never know it if you aren't willing to talk about it.

The problem is, that this began with the left. They simply refused to acknowledge that conservatives were anything but knuckle dragging ignoramuses. And they still think that way.

The problem is now that the right has taken the upper hand in this game, they don't like it, and now screech endlessly about how we need to have a "conversation".

The time for a conversation ended when you refused to listen to us. Now it's our turn.

>>...to the point that Republicans hold all statewide offices, save one unimportant one.<<

That would be LaFollette, the Secretary of State.

And Walker and the Wisconsin GOP have effectively taken all responsibility and funding away from his office after he refused to certify an election result in a timely manner for political purposes.

Moral: See my tagline. It works.

That’s a state that really has hit rock bottom.
