"My generation of boys is f****d," says Rupert, a young German video game enthusiast I've been getting to know over the past few months. "Marriage is dead. Divorce means you're screwed for life. Women have given up on monogamy, which makes them uninteresting to us for any serious relationship or raising a family. That's just the way it is. Even if we take the risk, chances are the kids won't be ours. In France, we even have to pay for the kids a wife has through adulterous affairs. "In school, boys are screwed over time and again. Schools are engineered for women. In the US, they force-feed boys Ritalin like Skittles to shut them up. And while girls are favoured to fulfil quotas, men are slipping into distant second place.
More Couples over Age 50 are Divorcing Some might say that divorce is at epidemic levels in the United States. Weve all heard the statistic that 50 percent of marriages end up in divorce and while, in actuality, this figure is a misrepresentation, the truth is that Americas divorce rates are the highest in the world.
Additionally, older couples are divorcing more and more frequently. So why is this number increasing? And what can spouses do to protect themselves in the long term?
The recent study released by the National Center for Family & Marriage Research at Bowling Green State University revealed that the rate of divorce among people over 50 years old doubled between 1990 and 2010, and that 25 percent of all divorces in 2010 occurred to couples in that age demographic. Some conclusions the study draws include the following:
-More couples are divorcing earlier in life and remarrying, and the divorce rate for those in second or subsequent marriages is 2.5 times higher than the divorce rate of couples in first marriages
-As the population ages, divorce has become a more socially accepted practice
-Longer life expectancies have increased the likelihood that a couple divorces before one spouse passes away

Sorry but I have to disagree that all women in their 60’s are brain dead or brainwashed! I haven’t dated in a while because most of the men I meet are “needy” and want more of a caretaker rather than a partner. Oh, and they would rather just sit around rather than participate in life!
It is the Baby Boomers bulge working their way through the demographic snake.
There is a whole segment of that age group that is broken. Just look at what they watch, like MTV programming, which glorifies “broken”.
If you’re in a relationship with a woman under forty. Check her phone and leave her after. You’ll find what you need every single time.
One guy can’t compete to a social network of guys fawning over her. She will NEVER let that go.
Have you taken a look at the cartoons the even younger ones watch? Here’s a couple you may want to preview:
Bread Winners
Adventure Time
I refuse to allow certain ones in my house. I don’t want my grandkids watching that crap.
Offer men something worthwhile and we might tune back in.
I heard this tale first hand at a church dinner about 7 or 8 years ago
The father of a friend was 80 ish. He went on cruises to find women. He got in trouble once when a lady in a berth across the passage learned he was with another woman on this trip.
He said his secret was a powder blue dinner jacket. He would sit down front of a show and “they would just come”
You know what, something worthwhile has always been obtainable from God. Ever since the famous palindrome was uttered, “Madam, I’m Adam.” (Joke intended.)
A church that is serious enough about it to show God’s blessings in various miraculous, supernatural ways is a good nexus here.
If you go hunting around in “world” you are going to find the “world” variety of person. If it is “godly” you want then go where “godly” people go.
Some were married in their 30s, a few never married but a decade older.
What was tragicomic was when I was pregnant with my first in my mid-20s, being told by more than one feminist that I was too young, not ready and too early in my career. I said I’d been married for several years, had an employed spouse and had a house - what else did I need? Or was I supposed to wait until I was their age to try to get pregnant and married, with the clock running out? These were women in the STEM fields, engineering and computer science.
Ironically, women on the assembly line and warehouse were very supportive - a married woman with a kid on the way was normal, healthy, wonderful, etc, as long as I didn’t throw up in the clean room.
The rednecks had the healthier point of view.
A few people are both redneck and hi-tech... mostly guys, though (like me).
I don’t think too many of us would be all that happy with “liberal.”
They’d be happier with liberal guys if married at all.
Yes and no, because they could have divorced a couple of decades ago but didn’t, but you see the rise in over 50 y.o’s getting divorced start to skyrocket in 1995. I don’t know why.
Assuming most boomers married at 25-30 years old, the majority would have married sometime between 1972-1985.
But by the mid 90’s, divorce rates were actually going down.
But by the same time frame (1995) divorce among over 50’s was rising. MOST boomers were not yet 50 in 1995 (boomers are post WWI thru early 60’s, no?). Someone born in 1945 would be 50 in 1995, but someone born 1962 would only be 33.
On the other hand, boomers are a huge cohort of people so they’re going to have an effect on just about every conceivable statistic involving people.
As a fat, bearded man I resent number 10! I’m not in a bar to pick up liberal chicks!
“My single male friends refuse to date most of the local liberal trash.”
I don’t blame them one little bit. Life is WAY too short to waste time around idiots for any reason if they can be avoided.
Yes, mostly guys, but some of us women can be both too! LOL Nothing better than going shooting with and then solving computer problems for clients. I don’t work for “progressives”. If I don’t know ahead of time where they stand politically - I do try to screen them - I fire them if I find out they’re the enemy!
